Hernia Surgery
I visited Dr. Amory for an incisional hernia repair from pancreas surgery. He took the time first to get to know a little about me, we discussed my med history and then he went on to explain in great detail- going thru scans, I truly understood the procedure and the need to have it done. Day of surgery he visited me in pre-OP, post OP. His office staff, pre-OP, Recovery all so professional and all share a genuine respect for Dr. Amory's surgical skills and his radiating kindness.

Gallbladder Removal
I went to see Dr. Amory for a second opinion on whether I should have my gallbladder removed. He asked me some questions about my health and then proceeded to explain what happened and why it would be best to remove my gallbladder. He drew pictures and explained how each organ works and what would happen after the gallbladder is removed. He said I cannot promise you when you will have another pancreatic flare up but I can promise you that it will happen again. After our initial conversation I felt 100% confident that I would proceed with the procedure especially since six months had passed and I had another occurrence. Thankfully it did not land me back in the hospital. You are in good hands with Dr. Amory.

Dr. Spencer Amory was highly recommended by my internist to repair my inguinal hernia. It was my first surgery ever and I was frankly nervous. Upon meeting Dr. Amory for my examination, he was very thorough, personable and his caring manner put me at ease. I felt very reassured and immediately knew I met a doctor that cared about his patients in a special way. I recovered quickly and I’m very grateful. He’s an extremely talented surgeon and a genuinely kind human being

I took care of numerous patients that Dr Amory operated on & their surgery & recovery were very successfully . I even recommended a patient to him for gallbladder surgery & she was very pleased because her surgeon had recently retired. Her fears & anxieties were relieved. I recommend Dr Amory to everyone from a nurse's view point & on the receiving end. 5 stars for sure & 10 if there is such a thing!

Dr. Amory performed my laparoscopic cholecystectomy in 2010. I was completely satisfied and impressed with my care. Naturally, when my spouse needed triple hernia surgery we sought his opinion. There are no words to convey Dr. Amory's skill and compassion. I am a nurse and my husband a physician (both retired). Dr. Amory is a rare bird and I am grateful for his care and attention.

Dr. Spencer removed my gall bladder years ago. You can read so much about issues with diet after gall bladder surgery but I've had none and my G.P., looking for the "scars" after the surgery (very hard to locate) said she'd never seen such fine work.
