After a seizure, she wouldn't call me.
I was seeing Dr. Gowda for epilepsy; I had a seizure and asked that Dr. Gowda contact me, and she sent an email stating, 'I am assisting other patients at a hospital and will reach out to you in a week.' Depending on where you are, a seizure could harm you and she wouldn't take 5 minutes out of her day to reach out to me after a seizure! Your doctor is supposed to be your advocate. They work for you!

Don't trust her
I am in the middle of finding a new neurologist! She is cold and I have no trust in her. She went from suggesting I have one surgery because it was the 'best option' to the next visit suggesting a totally different surgery because it's 'the best'. I don't buy it and she will never be able to convince me to have surgery because I don't trust her. She sees you for 3 minutes and calls that care. The first time I saw her she looked at me cold as hell and brought up SUDEP. If your epileptic or having seizures I would suggest you seek care elsewhere.

Smart and Sweet
I loved working and talking to Dr. Gowda about my neurological concerns for seizures. She is detailed and explained everything in a way I understood. I would recommend her to any of my family or friends. I trust her medical advice.

Cold
She was very cold and dismissive. She also reminded me that she was seeing me as a courtesy since my doctor, also with Neurology Associates, was not available until 2024. If you have depression issues, don’t go see her as you might fall into the abyss.

She did warn us about one of the worst side effects of epilepsy that can happen after 15-20 years after diagnosis. It ruined our 18 year blissful marriage in just 9 short months.
