Dr. Sophie Chang, MD

Now it is understood why this doctor only does telemedicine on Horizon, because she gaslights her patients and does not listen to them. Should have her medical license revoked, I would NEVER recommend her.

I visit Dr. Chang today via Tealeheath over video call. She was quick to say rest, get soup, sleep. I needed something strong, because I was on my 5th day of having symptoms, I even proved it to her with my visit to urgent just 4 days before when symptoms started. I wish I would have read the reviews before choosing her. Save your time with another Doctor who will spend time figuring out what is wrong. I saw that she had seen 3 other patients so quickly after me. The other doctors did not see that many in patients in such a short time. I’m sad to know there’s doctors like her treating people and that it’s okay for her to continue practicing. I’m so sorry this is her care to patients.

Sophie failed to diagnose my toddler son’s impetigo. I came to her telling her I believe that’s what he had. She insisted that was not it and told me to make an appointment with a dermatologist. I followed my mom gut and talked to a different doctor 24 hours later, who was able to quickly identify the sores covering his body as impetigo and prescribe him an antibiotic. I am in tears thinking about my conversation with her where I continually asked her how to help my child and isn’t it likely it’s a common skin rash like impetigo or hfm. She was confident saying she’s been doing family medicine 30 years and telling me to trust her that it’s not contagious or anything I needed to be too worried about. I feel very disappointed. If it was her face and body with open sores and raw skin she would have bothered to look it up or at least admit she didn’t know and to seek immediate help from a different doctor. I can only describe Ms. Chang as either incompetent or heartless.
