Dr. Soma Mandal, MD

Dr. Mandal has consistently been thorough, detailed, and reliable. She seems to take the time to understand the scope of the medical issue, quite deeply. I have been relying on her treatment for many years and feel fortunate to be under her care.

In short, great

I've been a patient at Summit Health for years, and while I've generally had a positive experience with most doctors there, almost every interaction from the start with my primary care physician, Dr. Soma Mandal has been awful. She isn't responsive to concerns, doesn't seem to pay attention to details, has been aggressive, and actually yelled at me a number of times for issues that I expressed to her- including labs not being transferred from one provider to another, and her skipping over a teledoc appointment her office had scheduled with me. More importantly, she missed an abnormality that showed up on a lab until 3 year later, and failed to treat another issue after repeated lab results indicated unfavorable results. I have not found a new primary care doctor, but hope to spare anyone else having to deal with Dr. Mandal.

Dr. Mandal views your health issue in its entirety and gets to the bottom of it while thinking outside of the box. If you’re looking for a doctor who is intelligent and honest and isn’t a “pill pusher” unnecessarily she’s the physician you desire.

Have already recommended to family and friends. Thorough and complete exams, very clear with explanations, an outstanding listener who gets to the root of any issues. Extremely compassionate. I can think of nothing at all that could be better. Communication with staff expedites the entire process, the reminders both by text and phone are a blessing with our busy schedules. It was a pleasure to feel so confident about a physical.
