Don’t recommend
His demeanor can be generously described as prickly, more accurately icy. He doesn’t listen to patient feedback and is dismissive of all input that doesn’t fit his ideas. He’s pompous, arrogant, rude, and thoughtless. An appointment with him consists of 5 minutes of answering questions and 10 minutes of being lectured to. Dr. Koko is not someone who should ever be providing care to someone in a fragile state of mind. 0 out of 10.

Horrible patient care
Never once asked about triggers or stress. Just carried on about the same thing. Then I called to reschedule an appointment, he answered, said 'you've wasted enough of this officer's time, don't call again'. And, he hung up on me. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!

Great Psychiatrist
Dr Ko Ko worked with my youngest son about a year ago! My son suffers from certain disorders that ONLY Dr KoKo was able to detect and effectively treat! My son has seen other doctors from McNeal hospital to Palos Hospital with NO TRUE RESULTS!!! The only thing that these doctors did was pump him up with unnecessary drugs and keep him as long as they could to gain more money from our health insurance! Dr KoKo however, takes a more different approach, he truly CARES for the patient and DOES NOT look at them as a $ Sign. Moreover, he truly follows the oath to not only care for his patients but to find the underlying ROOT of the problem and fix it! Anyone who has different to say could not have truly been a patient in my humble opinion! TRUTH is, Dr KoKo is an Excellent Psychiatrist with impeccable credentials who truly takes the time to get to KNOW his patients and he treats them all the same regardless of race, background, or religious beliefs he is all about treating the disorders!

Trash
Absolutely horrendous. I currently work in emergency medicine so I am not totally naive to how medicine should be practiced. The “doctor” prescribed me a medication I had a know bad reaction to. This was was brought up to him and his verbatim response when questioned was “I do not allow my patients to dictate their medication regimen.” Trash doctor and trash human being. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

Hangs up on you!!! Stay away!!!
Terrible! I was seeing this doctor is 2020 in Chicago. Then I call him today March 3, 2022 and I tell him I was a patient of yours and I wanna see if you have openings. He asked my insurance and he said he didn't take it and hung up on me. Fine, it's ok if you don't take my insurance, but when i called back and offered to pay out of pocket he said he will NOT see me and he doesn't want to SEE me! I was floored! I never had anything bad to say about this guy! He has my records, I offered to drive where ever he's located and pay whatever but he hung up on me twice! What happened to this guy?

I'd give negative stars if possible. Been seeing him for almost 3 years. Every few months he does something to piss me off. He doesnt listen to what the patient NEEDS he does what HE wants. Very degrading, ignorant, rude man. Very cold and compassionless. Doesnt understand a damn thing about psychiatry. I hope he loses his license because he does more harm than good. He literally hung up on me on our phone appointment saying. "I dont have time for this" when I tried to tell him new issues/symptoms I'm experiencing. So reckless it's ridiculous. DANGER. STAY AWAY.

This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a psychiatrist. I have been seeing him for a few months, and have finally had it after almost storming out of the office. He does NOT listen to you, does NOT remember you nor take the time to review your chart, while being demeaning and incompetent. He has put me on medications then later questioned why I was on them as if it were my fault, and wants to take me off medications that are working. Do NOT waste your time with this quack. He is also constantly late and scattered.

Do not see this doctor. I had seen his negative ratings but didn't feel like I had any other options due to insurance. Fortunately my PCP was able to help me out after my disastrous appointment with Dr. Koko. He didn't introduce himself, know who I was, or have my chart (he didn't even realize I was a new patient). He saw what medications I was on and said he would get me off of both of them, while disparaging my previous care providers. I'm doing very well and am very healthy, merely needing medication management and ongoing counseling. He had decided to change my meds without even asking how I was, but that isn't close to the worse part. While he said several things that would be disqualifying for a good provider, here's the comment that takes the cake: I mentioned I'm not currently depressed but that depression definitely seems to be cyclical with the winter being the hardest months. He said, you mean you like summer more? Everyone likes summer more. I don't like the winter, but I

He does not know me, 1st appointment, not in the office 5 minutes. Told me I was diagnosed wrong and on the wrong meds, even though I have been stable for the past several years. Unbelievable--I walked out of the office. He is very arrogant and difficult to understand his speech. Surprised he can continue to practice.

Misdiagnosed me with bipolar disorder after spending a total of 10 seconds talking to me and prematurely allowed me to leave the psychiatric ward. Expected me to drive all the way up to Naperville from school once per month for blood tests when I had no means of doing so. Made a gesture mimicking how I attempted suicide.
