Dr. Heston is one of the most exceptional doctors we have ever encountered! His medical knowledge is top-tier, but what truly sets him apart is his humanity, patience, authenticity, and genuine compassion. He’s calm, relatable, and approachable, which immediately put my son at ease. What Dr. Heston brings to his patient interactions goes beyond expertise or training-he has an intuitive ability to reach people that can’t be taught!After addressing my son’s medical concerns, he asked how he was coping with everything emotionally and psychologically… then he LISTENED-not just to what was said, but to what my son couldn’t put into words. Later, he briefly stopped me in the hallway and asked how I was coping with my son’s brain injury too, which spoke volumes as a very concerned mother. Dr. Heston doesn’t just treat conditions with precision-he cares for the WHOLE person. His empathy, and insight are rare and deeply appreciated-especially in Humboldt County!!!

Dr. Heston clearly did not check my previous health history before the visit and was very dismissive of my health concerns and conditions. I think his questioning of my previous doctors when I did not ask for an opinion was rude and unprofessional. I would suggest anyone with any sort of chronic illness stay clear of this doctor.

Very friendly and helpful office, unlike a lot of others. Dr Heston also does sport medicine as well as a G.P. Dr Heston listens well and works with his patients. The best doctor's office since I lived in San Francisco, Ca.
