After receiving a faxed referral from my PCP, they scheduled me for an appt. 7 weeks later, and called me to cancel it two days prior to the appt. saying they never acccepted my insurance and made a mistake by saying they did accept this insurance at the time they set the appt. They probably even tried to charge the insurance company for an appt. that never happened..Equalsalot

Wonderful, easy going manner.
My father was a patient for many years, so I decided to go myself when looking for an eye doctor in Boynton Beach. Everyone was friendly and patient. Answered all questions and I felt very comfortable.

he needs to get a grip on his schedulers.
the Boynton office was very busy and over scheduled so they told me to go to the lake worth office, it wasn't as busy. not only was it extremely over scheduled, Maiyli the office manager was rude and didn't listen to my questions. in my post op visit, I waited for over an hour and a half and when I asked to come back the next day the office staff told me they would get in trouble. a very dysfunctional staff. it seems disrespectful and greedy to overbook so many people at both offices

Incompetent surgical coordinator
My mom was seen by Dr. Sibia for blurring of vision. She needs to have her cataract removed and fix her glaucoma too. Unfortunately my mom's surgery was denied by her insurance carrier and when I called her insurance company they said that it was because of a very weak clinical notes. The surgical coordinator, Maily was grossly incompetent because if she is good in her job she should have anticipated the root cause of the problem prior to submission of the pre-authorization. She was unkind and rude and even suggested to change my mom's specialist.

No one ever introduced themself at this office, but proceeded to do a bunch of unnecessary and unrelated exams involving multiple eye drops including dilation and equipment. These were completely unrelated to my chief complaint. The glaucoma specialist suggested LPI surgery. As an incognito visiting physician, I’m calling total BS. These procedures are obviously done here at an unnecessary rate. I wouldn’t be surprised if a malpractice lawsuit found them very soon. Highly unethical. My chief complaint was never addressed. I went to a different ophthalmologist today and the physician was wonderful. I suggest you do the same.

Bait and switch practiced here. Also , wanted to charge $40 for refraction test, which IS covered by my insurance. Lastly, was told I would not be given copy of RX unless I paid the $ 40. Insult to injury, an office manager actually became hostile when I requested refund of copay. For routine eye exam, go elsewhere.

I went for a scheduled appointment and was told when I got there that my doctor was no longer there. They said they didn’t know where he went. I found him in a minute on google. This was through the VA but they never got my authorization. Then they told me that they would not take a copay if I used my insurance. I sat about 15 minuets and then they came out and said that they could not see me. I liked the doctor that had left, he operated on both my eyes last year. I never liked the office staf

I called the Lake Worth office of Siba Eye Institute in Lake Worth to make a follow-up appointment to see Dr Siba. I asked the girl for Dr Siba’s earliest morning appointment. She gave me Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 7:50 am. I accepted the appointment and she put me down. The day before my scheduled appointment, I was sent a text that I had a 7:50 am appointment, say yes to confirm, I said yes. I was up early it took me almost 40 minutes with school and morning traffic, I arrived at the Lake
