Dr. Simonette Jones, MD

My cardiologist retired. I have had 4 others prior. I am a retierd RN. I want to make this point first! I first saw her at a cardiology practice in a hospital. That place is stfiling! To the patient and to Dr. Jones. This place treats all like numbered cattle for slaughter. GET 'EM IN...GET'EM OUT!! Drs were NOT allowed to take the time they needed!! Didn't allow for the patient to have the time to interact!! Still my first visit knew she was a gem!!NOW that she moved into her OWN office in 2023 she can have the time to see her patients in her time! She very knowelgable, listens, explains, compassionte and cares! My husband also agrees she is great!!

I started seeing Dr. Jones in 2023 for high cholesterol and other issues. She was very kind and understanding. She asked me several questions, explained everything and ran tests. She is very personable and I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs to see a heart doctor.

My Mom has been seeing her for 2 years and we've never had any of the problems that others are saying. She always answers our questions and we've never been rushed. She's always been pleasant and friendly. When we first started seeing her, Mom's heart strength was at 30%. It's now at 100%. She's also patient with Mom, who is hard of hearing and slow to understand things.

Dr Simonette Jones is an arrogant, self-centered, pompous, egotistical, condescending women! She practices like a third world country physician would. She never introduced herself. Simonette was 45 minutes late for a scheduled stress test which was on a holiday. She walked into the testing room didn't identify herself. Stated, with her back turned, "if your test is normal I'll be sent home". Then she swiftly leaves the room, probably because I might have a few questions of concern. She needs instructions on proper etiquette (formal manners and rules that are followed in social and professional settings). Dr S Jones needs to be replaced or assigned a job where she has NO direct patient care. Maybe the morgue or maintenance departments. Any health care system who she is affiliated with will leave a black mark at their facility. Mercy Medical Center needs to replace her with a PA, they can do a good job and probably better. Her arrogant behavior should be addressed.

Never saw her once during my 4-day hospital stay but she did send her PA (whom I never met) to get my information. I had an Echo and heart cath done but never heard the results from her or a path for treatment. On the day I was released at 1:30 PM, I had to wait almost five hours for Dr. Jones to come in and sign discharge papers and write my prescription. When I informed her that I wanted to end our relationship, she refused to write the prescription that I waited 5 hours to get. Instead she called it in to the pharmacy but when we stopped to get it (on the way home from the hospital), it wasn’t there. I had to go back the next morning to get it. This was not a prescription for aspirin but for a blood thinner I needed to prevent clots from forming. I believe Dr Jones and her inflated ego could have jeopardized my health by refusing to write my prescription. I had only seen her twice before this and when I told her I was short of breath, she dismissed me and said I was fine.

Never got in as referred by two doctors to see her and nurses were saying they were going to tell Dr Jones and get back. No replies..just nurses putting me off. Don't feel safe to let her handle my heart which is important to me..ever again. I already have heart problems.
