Pleasant Surprise
I just transferred from VA in Vierra Florida to Marietta Georgia. I had my introductory meeting with Dr. Houshmand. She was amiable, listened to and heard me, was receptive to my input, and was very patient with me when I was confused. I found Dr. Houshmand pleasant and helpful in every way.

Absolutely incompetent
Moved from Virginia to Georgia. Established my Veteran's Administration medical credentials with Marietta, GA Vets. Adm. Dr. Houshmand was assigned as my Primary Care Physician. After 2 years & 4 visit attempts for my Physical exam appointments: 2 cancelled without contacting me (2-60 mile RT visits) & 2 phone cancellations. During these 2 years, she was never available (even by phone) but did find time to update my prescriptions, forwarded by my non-VA Doctor. As a previous patient commented: SHE SHOULD BE FIRED! I'm 91 years old, no one should be treated like this!

garbage doctor, VA should dump her
shes terrible Stubborn and refuses to listen to patients. She ended up shouting at me because she misunderstood what I was asking her to do and refused to back down after it became apparnent she was in the wrong. Refused to go over my medical history and provide her opinion, flatly told me "I am only here to treat, not go over your record" absolutely pitiful.

Didn’t listen or address main health complaint. Scheduled tests she never told me about or why they were ordered. Didn’t communicate severely abnormal test results. No follow through or communication. I’ve Lost confidence in VA medical care after dealing with her. She should retire.

Dr. Houshmand has had failed practices in Columbus, Valdosta and Marietta. She now malpractices medicine for the VA Healthcare System. Those should be enough red flags to keep anyone from going to her. I would not trust her to walk my neighbor's dog, let alone manage my healthcare. The VA is the settling pond for failed medical practitioners, and even among them, she falls to the bottom. Her most laudable attribute is apathy, followed closely by lethargy. This is my personal opinion.
