Dr. Simil Gala, MD

I saw Dr. Simil Gala for a heart murmur one month ago. He did not have any knowledge of how to treat my murmur. I saw another Cardiologist who was able to correctly diagnose and treat my condition. Dr. Simil Gala is a horrible cardiologist. I filed a complaint with his bosses and they are currently investigating the situation.

My husband was a patient of Dr. Gala. He was seen for atrial fibrillation. He was scheduled for a cardioversion in about 2 weeks. In the weeks that followed, my husband contacted Dr. Gala's office with symptoms that warranted a visit. Medications were prescribed without an examination. An online search of the symptoms of heart failure convinced us that this is what was happening. My husband contacted Dr. Gala's office again, read off each symptom and made them aware he was experiencing every one of them. Another medication, but no office visit. His condition got to a critical point and we had lost faith in Dr. Gala's treatment. We made the decision to go to Bellin Hospital ER. He was admitted with congestive heart failure. He spent 6 days in the hospital. He received quality one on one care. With their guidance, he is returning to a much healthier condition. He is schedule for ablation surgery. We will be eternally indebted to the cardiology team at Bellin Hospital.

Doctor Gala took time to explain everything he said. He had reasons for anything he prescribed and all was explained clearly so I could understand. When I got home, there was an email from him that said he had tried to answer all my questions, but if he had not or if I had thought of anything else, to respond to that email and I would get answers. I was amazed at the level of care and concern.

Flight for life from Ellison Bay to St Vincent massive heart attack. He saved my life. Just had a second surgery that was planned to open other blockages he didn’t have time to fix while trying to keep me alive. Everything went great and I can’t say enough good things about him. Talks about and shows you everything that is going on with your heart and follows up with your progress after your recovery. I have no problem recommending him to anyone looking for a great Cardioloigist

Dr Gala was wonderful during my emergency. Worked efficiently but still the right amount of communication. Made me feel at ease and ready for unexpected procedure. Checked on me a few times and when the nurses asked him many questions he responded prompted with answers.
