Knew this guy when he was at NYU. There are many reasons that he no longer works there. He posed a serious risk to patient care and misrepresented credentials.

Best neuropsychiatrist ever
My daughter first met Dr Nadkarni in 2011 as a severely ill autoimmune encephalitis patient in the hospital at NYU. At the time she was undiagnosed and mentally incapable of moving forward in life. He is so medically intelligent in regards to neurology and equally wise and brilliant in his psychiatric practice. My daughter continues to see Dr. Nadkarni to this day, Dec 2024 as he is her lifeline to her daily health.

I seldom leave reviews, but my experience with Siddhartha Nadkarni was deeply troubling. Neurological issues are serious business and this is not the person you want handling serious matters like this. There are many fine practitioners out there to help, and I would urge you to avail yourself of them.

Phenomenal neuropsychiatrist and human being
I’ve worked with Dr Nadkarni for over a decade, and he got to the bottom of a complex constellation of symptoms involving my epilepsy, severe ADHD, complex trauma, and depression. He has the warmest, most empathetic disposition of any physician I’ve met; a co-collaborator instead of that outdated, paternalist medical model.

Excellent, concerned and thorough physician
Dr. Nadkarni has been caring for me for over 10 years. He is an excellent, thorough practitioner and a supportive physician and just a wonderful person. He has always clearly explained options, test, and medications and I have trusted his recommendations 100%. And I felt heard and considered and was always an equal in decisions. Additionally, he not only was supportive of me throughout many years of treatment, but was an incredible support to my family while I was not well. I can't recommend him highly enough!

I do not see Dr. Nedkarni myself however my sister, who has a history of drug abuse does. He is a very smart specialist, however I feel very strongly that some medications prescribed are NOT ones to prescribe to an addict.

I have seen Dr Nadkarni for many years, he is the best neurologist I have ever seen (this is after more than forty-five years of neurological problems). He takes his time with you and explains where you can understand what your neurological problems are. He even diagnosed that I had had a heart attack a month before, and sent me to a great cardiologist.
