Avoid This Dr
between my horrible experience with this Dr and reading the reviews, I am concerned that the medical office I saw her at employs her at all. Will be filing a formal complaint. She ripped my IUD out of me. It was shockingly painful and I feel she did it with the intention of harming me. Avoid her for your own safety.

Dr. Bessim Is Wonderful
I've seen Dr. Bessim for years. She's very comfortable talking about anything with a great attitude that is very comforting. I've sent friends her way and they all love her. Dr. Bessim is very knowledgeable and goes above and beyond. I suspect the bad reviews are fake by someone holding a grudge. I've never had a bad visit.

I'd give 0 star if I could.
I have had nothing but bad experiences with this doctor. Like all previous reviews say, she is cold, unapproachable, judgmental, and rude. I am curious why she is even in this line of work and frankly shouldn't even have a job with the horrendous treatment she offers.. when will someone actually take action about this treatment? It's upsetting to see so many other women being shut out, and treated poorly. I finally switched doctors because I couldn't stand going in to see her anymore. I have never felt so uncomfortable with fear of being judged and made to feel stupid for asking questions. When I went to get my IUD out, the first thing she said to me was "and your partner is fine with that? you told him and he just said ok?" it is MY body and NOT anyones choice what I do. For the safety of others, I don't recommend her to anyone.

Don’t trust her
I usually don’t write bad reviews, but for the safety of other people and to prevent other people from having to visit with her, I am writing this. I’ve been been pushed out the door so quickly. First thing when we met she told me my parents spelt my name wrong…..thought that was weird. Then when I explained all my symptoms and showed her that another doctor referred for me to get tests done, she told me I didn’t need it- before even letting me finish what my symptoms were. Then, when she went to do a pelvic exam, she was not even a little bit gentle. Usually the gyno/doctor Will give warning that they are about to touch you and talk you through the process/be gentle. Not even a little bit. I had to beg for her to order an ultrasound. It was an all around awkward and bad experience.

Judgemental and doesn't care
I've never had a good experience with her. Every time she comes in the office to start the appointment she looks me up and down very judgingly and tries to blame all of my hormonal problems on the fact that I'm overweight. I had gotten the nexplanon in my arm and it gave me horrible side effects. Come the time for her to take it out she said my symptoms "were NOT symptoms of the birth control". I went right on their website and my symptoms were the top 3... She never seems to care about you as a patient and doesn't listen to a word you say. She changes my birth control whenever she can't get mine in and that really messes my body up but she seems to think it's fine. I wouldn't recommend her to anybody

Terrible experience! She is an ice cold human being! Do not go to her for care, help or compassion. She does not belong in the Health Care Profession at all! She provides nothing to your wellbeing and does not care about her patients at all. If I could have given zero stars on this review site, I would have.

She was one of my favorite doctors ever. To the person above, I want to tell you that Dr. Bessie was adopted herself. We discussed it when she was talking with me about fertility treatments and adoption.

Worst experience ever. Steer clear! I also warned my doctor's office not to send another woman her way. She was rude, inconsiderate and hurt me pretty badly. Gentle is not in her vocabulary. I wish I had heeded the reviews I saw before going. I would give zero stars if possible.

Beware! This woman has no bedside manor & is rude. Cannot diagnose of give any useful advise at all. Worse gyno. Ive ever been too. Charges for tests not needed because she can't diagnose simple issues like BV.

Truly one of the least compassionate doctors (if not people) I have ever met. She once told me that my weight was like a yo-yo and in a very judgemental tone. During my medical history, I informed me that I didn't have a lot of information as I am adopted. She then asked me about my "real" parents and not the people adopted me because they aren't my parents. What? I stopped going to her immediately after that. Thankfully she "retired" because the rest of the practice was great.

It's been a few years since I've seen her, but she was one of my best doctors. I called today & found out she supposedly retired. I had been seeing her for 20 years & hope nothing is wrong with her.
