Condescending, unknowledgeable, and gaslit me
Dr. Khan was condescending, unknowledgeable, and rude. Before I had gotten through half of my symptoms and my reason for concern, she interrupted me and told me it sounded like I have an anxiety disorder. I have severe food intolerances and haven't been able to eat in days. I do not have an anxiety disorder. She didn't know anything outside of IgE allergies and kept lecturing me on what anaphylaxis looks like, which I didn't claim to have. Her scope of knowledge is extremely limited, and since my symptoms didn't fall within it, she resorted to gaslighting me and insisting that I have an eating disorder. I have reactive hypoglycemia, so being unable to eat is life threatening for me. When I told her this, she said 'You have hypoglycemia because you fast.' I have hypoglycemia because of a secondary adrenal insufficiency. She didn't know what that was so she resorted to lecturing me about peanut allergies, which I don't have, like I'm a child.
