Responsible for my son's death
I turned to Dr Tannen when my military endo was moving. At the time I was on Synthroid and asked for Armour. I was told no. My TSH looked great, but my free T3 was in the basement (below the range). He sent me away. Look up what happens to babies whose mothers do not have sufficient thyroid hormones?

Dr. Tanen is very calming and thorough. I went to him with a thyroid concern and it turns out it was cancer. He answered all my questions and helped me make the decision to remove my thyroid ASAP. He recommended an top-notch surgeon and the whole experience could not have gone better. His response time to portal questions is amazing (I hope he actually remembers to take time off). No question is too small for him. His office staff is also very nice.

I have hipotiroydsm and highly recommend Dr. Tanen for the ones which are looking forward an old fashioned doctor way to treat the patient (kind, attentive, search for the problem cause and not only treat the consequences, answer well all your questions, great to return your calls and much more). And mainly, extremely professional with a vast knowledge in his field. I had recommended him for a friend and she is very happy.

Excellent. Knowledgeable. Listens for patient information that informs him of conditions or changes in conditions with the patient. This is very much appreciated given the nuances with endocrinology related conditions. Empathetic. Succinct. Thorough. Like any professional, the better prepared you are, i.e. logs, specifics, etc. the better he can ascertain concerns and provide solutions. Doesn't rush the patient and doesn't waste patient's time in the waiting room, office or patient room.

Most of my family has gone to Dr. Tanen and everyone--including myself--believes that he is an excellent doctor. He's the best Endocronologist that I've ever been to. He listens, gets right to the point, and does all his blood work in house.
