I had a deviated septum for years and the surgery that was performed has been life changing

I went to see Dr. Pathak for a sinus issue. She glanced up my nose, (just one side) sucked out some mucus and said, let's do prednisone and anti-biotics. When I asked what was the issue, she said, she wasn't sure and I should get a CT scan, take the meds and come back in 10 days. When I came back after 10 days, she pulled up the CT scan and said I needed full endoscopic sinus surgery. I asked if we could try other methods before surgery, she said no. I reluctantly started the surgery process and when I did not want to pay almost $3000 more to have the surgery at Sky Ridge in May, I was told she was going to be out on Maternity leave after May and that was my only option.

Rushed and complete lack of care, couldn’t be bothered to perform any standard procedures one would expect when visiting the experts vs a general practitioner, waste of money and time.

Dr Pathan addressed my medical concerns, explained my CT scan results and prepared a treatment plan for me that gave me a lot of confidence. prior to the visit I was concerned my medical issues probably would not be treatable. Would definitely recommend her.

She wasnt terrible but she just seemed to be in a rush, not to care, and walked out without giving me the prescription she initially said would help me. I have no idea why she didnt give me the prescription she talked about. She didnt explain if she had decided it wouldnt help me or if she just forgot. I actually had to step out of the exam room after she left and ask if the appointment was over because she just sort of walked out as she was answering one of my questions. One of the weirdest and more useless doctors appointments I've had.
