Endangered my kidneys
Telehealth
She put me on a medicine that ultimately gave my kidneys vast damage that will take a while to recover from She never warned me this was a possible side effect to watch out for. She is also quite condescending and difficult to get along with. When alerting her to this problem she told me she couldn't advise me to stop taking the medicine until she had an appointment with me. Her only appointment was four months away. Dangerous doctor.

Amazing for NDPH
Telehealth
Especially if you have New Daily Persistent Headache NDPH she is an ideal choice as she has many patients with it plus a personal connection. Even without that my initial visit was awesome though. She was super friendly, listened to what I had to say, has virtual visits, isn’t anti opioids like many neuros are for patients like me who get them from a pain clinic as they have constant severe treatment resistant head pain, didn’t push me to retry meds I didn’t tolerate in the past or even try more in the same class as 3 I hated, actually had multiple new ideas unlike other doctors, is willing to appeal my insurance to try to get non formulary meds covered especially if we know they are beneficial based on samples which she readily provided multiple of, truly seemed to want to improve my quality of life, etc.

I was a patient of dr issa at her previous clinic. At the time I was seeing her I was under 18 and because of my age, she repeatedly disbelieved the amount of pain I was in and accused me of exaggerating my condition behind my back. Thankfully, around the time she transitioned clinics, she referred me to a vastly superior headache specialist, dr roopa bhat.

When I first started seeing Dr. Issa I had headaches 20-25 days of the month. Dr. Issa worked with me to find different medications, preventative and abortive, to manage my migraines and now I am down to 7 migraines a month! She looks at your entire medical history and all your symptoms and sees how they interact with your migraines. I highly recommend!

Dr. Issa thinks outside the box and isn't afraid to have regular appointments to get pain under control. She thinks out loud which helps me to make decisions about my own care. She always asks if I am comfortable with the next steps and what questions I have. After having over 20 pain days per month, I am down to 9 at most, and Dr. Issa keeps trying to get it lower. I have had neurologists give up on my case. I finally have hope to be pain free again after a long time.

Dr. Issa has been incredible! A top-notch professional. She is deeply knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate, thoughtful, inquisitive, and efficient without being rushed. She took a great deal of time to understand the history of my husband's headache syndrome and current issues, and quickly integrated his preferred approach into her recommendations. We love that she draws on both western medicine and more natural methods for what feels like a very integrated, personalized treatment plan. She has been compassionate and reassuring, yet also straight forward and truthful. She has also been remarkably accessible – inviting us to email her with questions/input between appointments and sometimes even responding late at night. Really, the only negative we can think of regarding Dr. Issa is that she is no longer taking Regence insurance starting in July which will present some financial strain, but we will see her anyway. She’s well worth it.

Dr Issa is fabulous at explaining things and educating us about my 16 year olds headache disorders. There are no headache specialists in our local area so we travel to see her. She communicates well via the clinic portal and is easy to schedule phone consults or clinic visits as needed. My sons headaches are clomplex and we are grateful to have found Dr Issa and her expertise. He is finally making progress getting his life back.

Dr. Issa is a very knowledgeable headache specialist. She was always kind and caring to me and thought outside the box. However, because of a pharmacy mistake, she's accused me of Dr. shopping without checking with me or the pharmacy. I don't appreciate unfounded accusations.

She is a very knowledgeable doctor, she know what she is doing and does the best for her patients. When I first walked in her office I did not know anything about my migraines, she was able to help me treat them and learn how to prevent them as well as to identify the triggers that affect me.
