Poor Listener
Having a "high risk" pregnancy due to my age (37) and that I take a medication for my mental health, my Dr recommended I see Dr. Fishman. I found her and her nurse's bedside manner to be in need of some updated training. She kept reminding me that because I am on the medication I am on I need further testing and it causes further complications. My husband and I went into this pregnancy fully aware and we had researched plus had the support of various doctors. When I tried to explain this to Dr. Fishman she refused to listen and repeated all the complications that would befall my child. No pregnant woman needs to be made to feel guilty when they are doing what is best for themselves. She ordered extra tests that were not necessary (my normal Dr even admitted this) and I've gotten to pay hundreds of dollars for absolutely unnecessary tests and extra stress, when I tried to object to the testing I was told "don't you want what's best for child?" Using shame/guilt is never needed.

Continued to question me about my medical history when she was the one with incorrect information. asked multiple times if all of my children have the same father and if I was sure my children had the same father. Otherwise everyone else in the office was very pleasant.

Dr. Fishman saw me on short notice and with incredible grace and compassion. She talked me through a complex situation with honesty, listened to my concerns, and helped offer a path forward that was both compassionate and valid. I'm eternally grateful for her presence during my pregnancy.

The worst experience I have had and I am on my second pregnancy. The Dr came in and didn't even shake my hand or make eye contact with me the entire visit. All she would tell me is all the risks and bad things that could happen being a high risk pregnancy, not how the baby looked or if there were any concerns. It left a very bad feeling that something was wrong with my baby enough that I have an appt for a second opinion with another provider and ultra sound. All my pics were blurry too.
