I did not see: *Dr. Fitzgibbons mentioned here, but the doctor I did see was nice. However, I did express some discomfort after my surgery and while the doctor asked me questions they were a bit dismissive and basically said I was OK and to come back if I had problems. I would appreciate a bit more of an explanation or more questions to try and determine whether it is from the surgery. I just felt rushed out of there in a very short time. I understand that everyone is busy in a hospital but I would appreciate a little more time SPENT explaining when the issue could be (if relevant to surgery) and when to follow up if not related to surgery or not norm. Thank you for reading this.

If you can say someone who you meet under these extreme circumstances is delightful, she is! Her gentle, sweet and very bright personality offer encouragement when her patient is dealing with tough issues. She explains things very well and is one of the few doctors at Georgetown who doesn’t feel like she’s rushing through her interaction with you. She is a blessing to everyone she encounters and we are grateful she was our surgeon.

I had a Cholecystectomy recently, and Dr. Fitzgibbons did the procedure. She is a superb surgeon and caring physician; she explains the detailed procedure and emanates her empathy toward the patient. She called me the second day after the surgery to make sure that everything is fine and explain the recovery process. I believe that Georgetown University Hospital should be proud of having Dr. Fitzgibbons as an invaluable surgeon.
