In May of 2015, I was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Dr. Leventhal's expertise, compassion, and care saved my life. She is a brilliant doctor, but more importantly a great human being. I highly recommend her.

I was very ill with undiagnosed GERD and LPR for many years. One night I woke up and couldn’t breath. My vocal chords had swollen shut. I went to a number of physicians who put me on proton pump inhibitors. These PPIs helped the symptoms somewhat but never fixed the problem. The PPI eventually wrecked havoc with my stomach, Which led to other issues. That is when I went to Dr Sheryl Leventhal, I followed her recommendations. Not only has she alleviated the symptoms but she fixed the initial problem. I can now resume a normal life. I would highly recommend Dr Sheryl Leventhal, she is extremely good at what she does. She is very attentive, informative, and the visits were not rushed. Her staff were friendly and competent.

Dr. Leventhal has single-handedly been the most impactful physician in the management of my long-time struggle with a rather insidious multi-layered mysterious illness. Her patience and her ability to integrate and stay abreast of new research are outstanding. What is amazing to me is that there aren't many doctors who will 1. admit they don't know something, 2. stick with you regardless, 3. try to find those answers, and 4. refer elsewhere without abandoning the patient. Sheryl Leventhal does all of these things. There are some patients who will see the acknowledgement of "I don't know" as a weakness (old school thought "doctors are supposed to know everything"). After a few years of failed doctor's appointments rife with narcissistic ego trips, patient blame and a plethora of merely palliative drugs, I had given up. This doctor restored a lot of my faith: not just in my body but in humanity. I truly wish there were more selfless, giving people such as Dr. Leventhal on this planet.

After being involved in a horrific car accident, I wanted to try a different approach to battling my TBI. Dr. Leventhal took her time with me to hear my complaints and helped me.better understood brain injuries. From their her experience and knowledge along with IV infusions helped curve the turnaround time in my recovery. I am very grateful for her practice and staff!

I was recommended to Dr. Leventhal many years ago. After decades of being sick with no real resolution, Dr. Leventhal was able to get to the root of my issues. She was patient, thoroughly explained everything to me, and is extremely knowledgeable. I have finally regained my health and that wouldn’t have happened without Dr. Leventhal! I so appreciate her medical skills and would highly recommend her!

I have been seeing Dr. Leventhal for the past 8 years following my breast cancer diagnosis at age 43. At age 54 I have never felt better. She listened to my concerns and we both tackled my issues one by one. She is a wealth of information and is my 'go to doctor' for all my medical concerns.

Dr. Leventhal was recommended to me by my acupuncturist. I had a number of episodic issues which were not resolving. Functional Medicine appealed to me as a way of rebalancing and creating overall body health. Dr. Leventhal had me do a number of tests (fecal matter, blood tests, etc.) and based on the results, immediately go through a very intense therapy over 3 months of prescription drugs, supplements, and vitamins. I had provided her with a complete medical history. The aggressive treatment made me feel progressively worse from September to December. I lost my appetite, had aches in my arms, and felt more and more tired. I ended up in the ICU with near liver, kidney failure and Congestive heart failure. The ICU team reviewed the tests Dr. L had performed and determined that I had been treated for medical issues I did not have, and that the combo of supplements and strong drugs led to my precarious health situation. I am lucky to be alive.

Very nice personally, but unsure of her expertise in functional medicine. Feel like she is learning on the job after transitioning from oncology. Perhaps at the expense of her patients. Had a bad reaction to her treatments. Her office staff are rude and unprofessional. Difficult getting an appointment and/or following up with office staff. Expected much more from the experience. Wouldn’t return.

Dr. L was thorough, patient and sure to offer explanation. However, I had a severe reaction to drops she had given me: her office staff and her response were not only unprofessional but abusive. Her secretary continuously miscommunicated, told me NOT to email the dr, and that she would call me back. I never received a call. When they wanted to confirm my next appmt, I relayed my concerns and was accused of bullying the secretary. Dr. L took no responsibility, said I should have emailed her.

An excellent dr. is hard to find these days, especially one that embodies both the medical knowledge, always going above and beyond for patients, professionalism, superb bedside manner, and taking the appropriate time to know each patient, figure out what is really going on, and explaining so the patient has a complete understanding. She possesses knowledge that they do not teach you in medical schools that is very important and life saving.

Very knowledgable, intelligent and insightful doctor. Thinks outside the box as well as inside being a regular MD. as well as a Functional MD. REALLY GET THE BEST OF BOTH WORLS....IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND, Easy to talk to and takes the time to listen and explain. So happy I found her....I feel in good hands!
