She improved my mother’s remaining years of life by treating her debilitating symptoms and listening behind the few words my mother could actually share about how poorly she was feeling. Thank Dr. Shuman.

I saw Dr. Shuman several times over a long span of time. She was supposed to be "one of the best." She sure acted like she thought it was true. She didn't listen to me, she would argue with me about my symptoms, she was defensive and acted exasperated with me when the answers weren't obvious (hello, like that's MY fault?). She has a hard time accepting it when the answers aren't easy. One visit she said I had lupus and wanted me on plaquenil, the next visit she said I just had fibromyalgia - based on NOTHING for either. I get that these diseases can be difficult to diagnose, but she can't admit that. The final straw was when I told her my fingers were swollen, she looked at me and said, "I am the doctor, and they are NOT swollen." If she's not going to believe me when I tell her my symptoms, then I don't see how she could treat me successfully. She likes to pick fights & tries to be condescending, even about personal/small talk. I gave her ample chances. Waste of my time. Never, again.

Office staff is incompetent. Waited an hour in the waiting room after they forgot to check me in, then an hour in the clinic room after they forgot to tell the doctor I was here. Ok fine, annoying but things happen. Then Dr Shuman met with me for 30 mins. She was cold and quick to disregard anything I had to say, and had no interest in hearing my long health history leading up to why I was there to see her. It was the end of the day and she was clearly treating me like it was my fault I kept her

Dr. Shuman was fine, however her staff seems very disorganized. My first visit and impression is very low. Getting Simple blood work has turned into a stressful situation. I have been in pain and would like answers and while I understand I am not the only patient, I am A patient and to feel like that on my first visit that I slipped through the cracks due to negligence is not a great way to start a doctor/patient relationship to say the least.

The office staff is horrible. They lost my records 2 times resulting in me waiting over 6 weeks just to be told that Dr. Shuman would not see me. This is not a very professional way to treat a prospective patient. Beware and do not let them give you the run around.
