Dr. Sherman Wiggins, MD

I’m wondering about the persons who have submitted negative reviews of Dr Wiggins. I have seen him multiple times in the last 4 years and I have always found him to be caring and patient, explaining what was wrong & options for treatment. He was never rushed or abrupt. Long waits to be seen just reflect time spent with other patients & I know he’ll give me the time I need as well. Ihad a complication with my cardiac ablation, but the outcome was fine.I have another condition now that calls for another procedure and I have no hesitation in having Dr Wiggins take care of it.

He spends very little time actually conversing with the patient.

I was diagnosed with A-fib in 2016. After trying several medications and multiple cardioversions, my heart still would not stay in normal rhythm. I then saw Dr. Wiggins, who performed a catheter ablation. Everything went great and I have had zero problems with A-fib since then. I still see him for check-ups and would not even consider another doctor. I have absolutely no complaints about Dr. Wiggins regarding his office or hospital care either one. He has always been more than willing to answer any questions I had. I highly recommend Dr. Wiggins to anyone with A-fib. He’s the BEST!!!

He reviews your file before he steps into room , he will questions on your recent appointment and then ask for any changes. Takes his time and explains any questions you may have . He treats you like family , and he doesn’t talk down to you. My husband and I both love him . Thank you Dr. Wiggins

Long waiting for scheduled visits. Rude, Abrupt. Long or no call back when needed.

He took excellent care of my husband. He is very knowledgeable and gave great advice with excellent patient care. I find him to be highly recommend

Office nurse/assistant is very incompetent. I had a visit and discussed a procedure in detail with Dr Wiggins at which time we agreed on a date (earliest appt was a month later) and apparently his nurse failed to document this. I called repeatedly for information and found out the day before that she had not scheduled it and I would have to wait another 7 weeks. She apologized but that did not help the situation because that means after waiting for my initial appointment I have a wait time of 11 weeks to get the care I need. Very disappointed. I have never witnessed such incompetence in all the years I have been treated by other physicians in this group.

I've seen Dr. Wiggins for eight years. He performed a cardiac ablation on me and I see him for annual appointments. He listens to his patients instead of rushing through the appointment with a "Dr. knows best" attitude. He's got good instincts on managed care. The only downside, one I don't mind putting up with, is his appointments usually run a bit late. That's just not a problem with me because sometimes a patient needs a bit extra time. I just bring a book with me. Excellent care!

Dr. Wiggins asks questions and listens carefully. He explains until you understand. He is very calm and very patient. If you need the best, go to Dr. Wiggins!!!

Came in for an appointment as a new patient, after an hour and half wait. Saw the man for 3 minutes and he blamed me and ask me "what was I going to do?".He didn't care about seeing me,only about his meeting.He was blameful and very rude. I even brought him all of my records and he never took the chance to read them. Walk out with nothing. I've never felt to stupid and helpless in my life.Came to him for help and he told me I was doing anything for myself. Left in tears and I will NEVER go back
