For 12yrs I worked directly with hundreds of Psychiatrists in Chicago & only recommend only 1 physican, Dr Greenberg. Ill tell you why. While most psychiatrists use only what they learned during residency, only a a few physicians actually explore other alternatives when needed. Just b/c mental illness cant easily be seen by others doesnt mean u should treat it differently from other serious conditions. If you have a heart attack, you prefer a few tylenol? I doubt it. Dr G has saved lives.

Dr Greenberg is nothing more then a pill pusher.He is infamous at local hospitals for over medicating and causing tremendous amounts of pain to patients and family members. Beware and avoid

Dr. Greenberg has helped change my life, lifestyle, perspectives, and confidence level tremendously-more than I can even describe. I am a new patient and went to his office without an appointment. I felt welcome immediately and, even though he is an extremely busy doctor, he squeezed me in, stayed after hours, and took the time to speak with me. He listens, is very genuine, and honestly gave me an epiphany-that there is nothing wrong with asking for help. His associate Kevin is also amazing!

Dr. Greenberg is the best psychiatrist I've ever been to. He is very insightful and kind. He works with you to help you obtain the most beneficial treatment outcomes. He takes the time to listen to you. He is a wonderful doctor and a great guy.

Dr. Sheldon Greenberg, MD is the single most thorough, honorable, truthful, and pragmatic doctor of any type that I have ever been fortunate enough to be under the care of. He is compassionate yet practical, and has unique insights that combine traditional medical doctoring and keen psychiatric doctoring. I trust Dr. Greenberg implicitly. I have been under his care for over two years, and I will continue to seek his wisdom as I grow and get better. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Greenberg to anyone.

Best psychiatrist I have ever seen! I have been with him for six years, and he does everything he can to improve your quality of life, including helping you find a job. Simply a wonderful, brilliant doctor.
