Dr. Shelbi Hayes, MD

Dr Hayes seemed rushed. She took a quick glance at what was going on with my scalp and said, oh that’s yeast. She did not touch it or get any scraping to do any testing with or view anything under the microscope.When I asked her if people typically have a yeast infection only on their scalp with no symptoms anywhere else in their body, she just poo-poo’d my comment and said oh yes. The prescriptions she gave me did not touch my symptoms. I’m going to pay out of my pocket to go see a dermatologist who I know will help me. I would’ve gone to her in the first place, but she’s out of network. It took me four months to get an appointment, and in fact it was for something else. By the time the appointment rolled around, I had this other thing going on, so there’s no sense in trying to wait another four months.

Made appointment for comprehensive skin exam as I am over 60, was in the sun a lot when young, and had never had an evaluation. Total waste of time as Dr. only looked at a couple of spots I noticed and nothing else. Waste of time and money.

Dr. Hayes was very knowledgable about my issues. She took the time to answer all my questions and give me explanations. Dr. Hayes also looked at the least invasive methods of treatment first. I appreciated how she listened to my concerns.

Very rushed and misdiagnosed my condition leaving me to need urgent treatment. Did not thoroughly check all areas of my skin condition and downplayed my symptoms.

Dr. Hayes is amazing, and her staff is incredibly friendly and efficient. She has a wonderful manner that puts patients at ease, and she knows her stuff! I would highly recommend her to anyone who needs a great dermatologist.

I had Skin cancer 2x Dr. Hayes found early and provided successful treatment. Excellent all round, had a few skin rash problems that were taken care of as well.

I was told that I couldn't choose abstinence as a form of birth control for the iPledge program in order to take Accutane. Found out that was a lie. Will look for a doctor who is honest instead of trying to force patients into taking birth control pills. Most recently went there for alopecia and they wrote down I was coming for acne. So they weren't prepared. She said there was no treatment for alopecia (another lie).

Very thorough, kind, good listener. Never makes me feel rushed, always explains everything in detail. I highly recommend Dr Hayes.

Dr. Hayes was on time and extremely efficient, but still gave me plenty of time to ask questions and discuss my concerns.

Dr. Hayes is very knowledgeable and explains things very well. Easy to understand and talk to.
