Dr. Sheila Silverman, MD

She is my primary, takes time in her “soft” voice. Is trying so hard to help me with chronic pain from osteoporosis. Only request, call me “Bob” I have been with her several years. Staff is outstanding as well, thank You

After a little over a year, I have decided to find a new PCP. I feel I was not listened too as a patient and did not receive a high quality of care. Dr. Silverman was often dismissive about my concerns and delayed tests that could have established care more quickly for back pain, COVID and chest pain. She often prescribed medication without really listening to symptoms or exploring other causes for them. She was poor at following up on calls as well. Based on certain unprofessional comments, I feel she puts her business concerns ahead of patient care and I no longer feel comfortable with her as a PCP.

I love Dr. Silverman. She's willing to spend the time to listen. Doesn't assume and speak over you like so many doctors seem to do these days. She doesn't over react and has a conservative approach, in my opinion. I contracted pneumonia after surgery at Saint Francis Hospital (which discharged me with a fever) and Dr. Silverman took great care of me. Very thankful.

If I could give Dr Silverman zero stars i would. Went into her office for body aches, enlarged tonsils and severe throat pain and a migraine. She said “sounds like the flu but no one has come to me with the flu yet so probably not”. I asked her to do a strep test and she said no that i had a sinus infection. Meanwhile, no pain while she tapped on my sinuses and i have zero drainage from my nose even with the decongestion medicine i took. I have pus, white dots on my tonsils and swollen red tonsi

I have been going to Dr Silverman for over 20yrs and I am an RN. She is excellent. If she does not have an answer she always finds one by either consulting with another doctor or looking up new treatments or medications. My family also goes to doctors in this practice and my sister also goes to Dr Silverman.

Never called me back despite numerous calls to the office. Ended up printing out my own (abnormal) lab work, bringing it to another doctor, and began treatment. This lady should not be a doctor.
