Consistently uncomfortable
In my opinion, Dr. Morehouse struggles a lot with boundaries. I saw her regularly for years and she struggles with thinking before she speaks. Her medical knowledge was sufficient, but she often undermined her own authority by resorting to passive-agressive, racially-based, or otherwise odd remarks. She is not a bad person, though. Just lacks self-awareness. My hope is that Sheila does some reflecting on how rare it is to have consistent negative feedback on these sorts of websites and considers the concerns/hurt expressed by others.

I am not a fan of Dr. Morehouse. After going to her for a few years I was constantly dismissed of my concerns, and never felt like she listened to anything I said. I often left her office mentally down and frustrated. I am happy to have finally switched to another doctor. I do not recommend Dr. Morehouse

I've held off 23 years to remark on Dr. Morehouse, but it's time. My husband and I screened many Dr's before choosing Dr. Morehouse. As 1st time parents who relocated from NY to MA, with no family or friends for support, we wanted the best. We thought we had made a good choice. After our son was born we brought him to Dr. Morehouse's office. She checked out newborn son and confirmed his good health but then she commented on his complexion. My husband is white, and I am Indigenous. She said we shouldn't worry about our son's pale complexion. That his color would be darker, like his scrotum - I remember that remark vividly. She had already confirmed our son was healthy, and while neither my husband or I expressed any concern about our son's complexion, this was something she focused on. We immediately broke with her and found a new pediatrician. How is my child's health related to his skin color? 23 years later I am still angry by her remarks.
