Dr. Sheila Devanesan, MD

Dr Devanesan was my OBGYN through both my pregnancy. I have been seeing her since 2004. She has always provided excellent care. She always takes her time answers all my questions and genuinely treats me like she cares. I would highly recommend her.

At previous appointment she suggested I schedule a delivery date. Next appointment when I asked her about scheduling she responded as if that was a crazy question. She also noticed a mole on me previously and suggested I have it looked at. I asked for a doctor recommendation she responded 'Its just your hormones making it grow'. Her responses were uncaring and her tone was rude. Can't trust what she says.

First visit went well, she listened to my concerns, had a plan to treat my problem and a plan for HRT. Then two weeks later, after a follow up due to a medication reaction, her attitude was very different, she appeared disinterested and very hurried. When I asked about starting HRT, she said there was no medical reason for her to do this and she didn't remember stating this was her plan 2 weeks ago to start HRT. Then she told me my primary care MD had misdiagnosed me and treated me based on this misdiagnosis. I was upset with her attitude and told her she was wrong. After my visit, I had my test results from my primary sent to her office to prove my case. On my follow appt. after this encounter, I asked her if she received my test results she stated yes, but had no apology for her previous accusations. Because of her contradictions in treatment plans, lack of attention to detail, and her poor attitude, I would not recommend her services.

Dr. D is caring and genuine. I could have asked for better care before during and after my procedure.

I recently switched to Dr. Devanesen in 2018, and she is one of the best doctors at All Children’s OB GYN and associates. She is always very courteous and respectful. Is very thorough with her examinations and explains everything in detail she has the best bed side manners. I recommend her highly. Thank you!

My experience with Dr. "D" was all but joyous. She clearly has a superiority complex, not only towards hospital staff, but patients as well. Being in the hospital is stressful enough, but her arrogance and grandiose demeanor reared its ugly head more than enough for me. A humbling experience would do wonders for her ego.

Today I had my regular prenatal exam and met "Dr. D" for the first time. I don't know what was wrong with her but she was the most unprofessional doctor I have ever received care from. I voiced my opinion about getting a c-section because I was told my baby was breeched. She instantly got angry and told me I didn't need to get "defensive". She then proceeded to put her head in her hands and was quiet for about 30 seconds. She didn't read my chart nor did she care about what I desired. Nightmare

Wonderful OBGYN. Went with her for both my children and I'll never go anywhere else. She is smart, attentive, has No issue including your child in the process of the appointment, witty and knows what she's doing. I recommend her to everyone.
