Straight to the point and effective
I saw Dr Tayyab for many years. She is a little intimidating but know that she’s great at what she does and very caring. She doesn’t waste time with a lot of small talk and is efficient with delving to the potential root of the issue. Maybe that is playing more off of my personality. I couldn’t say if it’s different with other people who may feel they need to talk more. Her office gets back to you asap. Filling hard to find medications is not an issue as I’ve heard it can be with other offices that takes days to get back to you and by then the medication is no longer in stock where you originally sourced it. Appointments are always prompt-I rarely had to wait more than a few minutes after an appointment time for mine to begin. This is for in person and telehealth appointments over the years Overall I highly recommend her.

If you'd like to be belittled, see her
Telehealth
She only gets one star because I can't do any lower. She is by far the WORST psychologist I have EVER had. She constantly widdled down my concerns and got my on highly experimental meds that made me an absolute mess. When I expressed concerns to her over myself and especially over her, the first thing she asked me was if I was autistic or has been tested for autism. I have truly never felt more ignored and belittled than when I was with her. Moving away was a good choice and I wish I had gotten to say that to her face.

There are much better options
I was a patient of Dr. Tayyab's for around 8 years. I was never really satisfied with her care, but given that I had found a medication that worked for me, I was content with the extremely brief visits she offers, and the rude/unavailable front staff. However, when I mentioned I would be moving to a new area, Dr. Tyyab promised she would cover my medication for a couple weeks until I found a new provider. However, when I moved and tried to call in for my refill, I was immediately denied and told that she had changed her mind. As a result, I had to scramble to find someone to provide my medication so I wouldn't have severe side effects. While she doesn't show much emotion to her patients, her decisions, with both refills and medication changes, can change on a dime and can lead to dangerous situations.

I do not recommend any parent to bring their child to see Dr Tayyab. She did not show any care on a personal level or any means to build a relationship with my 14 year old son. She was extremely rushed, and spoke to us as if she was reading a dialog. After only two sessions and being filled in on the extreme severity of his mental health issues she never showed or mentioned any concern. My son told her he wants to harm himself and others and I asked her for a referral to a residential facility since he has already been through inpatient. Her exact words were "I need to get to know him better before I can just refer him to a residential facility." I saw this as an ignorant unprofessional ploy to get more appointments in the books and more payments from insurance. My son left my home by ambulance later that week. DO NOT USE THIS WOMAN.

Family member endured 6 days off meds because Dr. Tayyab denied refill . Ran out on Wed went to pharmacy to pick up on Friday to discover the denial. No calls or email returned. Only after booking appointment Monday did she refill one dose of meds (24hrs) had to get in by Tues. Flu like symptoms and suffering because Dr. T. and staff more concerned with 15 minute office visit than patient's mental and physical health. Very risky and unprofessional. Patient for almost 1 year.

Worst experience I’ve ever had with any kind of doctor. When I couldn’t schedule my next appt with her for 3 weeks due to HER schedule, she refused to authorize a refill on my prescription, causing me to go off cold turkey. I’ve never felt worse in my life. Unprofessional and extremely dangerous “doctor.”

She was distant and did not try to build a relationship with my 13 year old son or my 15 year old daughter. She asked questions such as, "are you feeling nervous", "what symptoms do you experience during a panic attack", "do you have thoughts of suicide", then she wrote a script and sent us on our way. If you've been on a med before that you know works well and you just need someone to keep refilling it, she's probably great. If you're still trying to find the right solution, I'd go elsewhere

Dr. Tayyab is very rude and unprofessional. She does not care about her clients at all, she treated me like trash and a burden. She didn't try to help me but treated me like a burden, she seemed like she didn't want to be there. I have never in my life been treated so poorly by someone that's suppose to help me. If you need help, I advice to look elsewhere.

Each time you go to see her, it's as if she's meeting you for the first time. She doesn't take the time to review her own notes about the patient before meeting with you. At times, she contradicts what she says from one appointment to the next. She is not interested in the patient as a person. We do not trust her anymore and are taking our daughter elsewhere.
