Dr. Shawna Riddle, MD

Dr. Riddle is a thorough doctor. She is warm, empathetic, interactive, upbeat person. She gives lots of tests, and refers when needed. There is not too much a doctor can do in 20 minutes or less. She does tend to prescribe medication as an initial response. In many cases, lifestyle changes have prevented the need for the medications she is so quick to prescribe. Because the office is so busy, much follow up is delegated to assistants. This is not her fault. But many of them make errors in medication and follow up. I should write a separate review for one in particular. The nurses and assistants seem very good. There have been errors of oversight, some very significant. They did not originate from her, but she is the doctor, the PCP. I think in this day and age, patients just have to advocate for themselves. There is no one doctor looking out for our total well-being or safety. I think doctors are too over burdened in this system to keep up with everything we need.

My husband and I love Dr. Riddle and the care she gives us. She's always attentive, spends plenty of time with us and is willing to order tests or referrals to specialists.

I have been seeing Dr. Riddle for a number of years. After almost losing my life twice because of a poor and dangerous medication choice that she does not have the authority of expertise to make, which was refilled via email by the way, I absolutely refuse to receive care until I am able to find a new PCP. I have zero trust in Dr. Riddle and I do not think she makes the best choices for her clients. She grossly misprescribed.
