My first visit 09/07/23
I thought Dr Shumbaugh was very nice, thorough and even allowed my daughter who couldn't make it to my appointment ask questions. We were both satisfied with his answers and we both like him. I look forward to my next appointment as he will give me straight answers!!

Dr Shambaugh would have let my husband die. If I and my family had not acted my husband would have been dead within hours from a sudden “turn on” of AML. We sought emergency help at another facility in Los Angeles, which The care has been excellent. They saved his life. Shambaugh was lax and unconcerned of the urgent declining health of my husband late Friday before a 3 day holiday weekend. He should not be practicing.

He told me my only treatment was chemo and radiation therapy or die. A radical radiation treatment that should not have even been considered. I most likely would not have survived under his care. I was one of the lucky ones that got first rate care at a top rate cancer center elsewhere. Dr. Shambaugh told me I was NOT a surgical candidate, yet, exactly what rid me of cancer. I am coming upon my 2yr anniversary of being 100% cancer free I was a lung cancer patient, stage 2b, not 3b as Dr. Shambaugh staged me. If you find yourself in his care, do your research on him, check his certifications, he has none I could find or verify. You may not believe what you find, or rather, don't find about this man. I would never recommend Dr. Shambaugh for any medical treatment. Board Certifications means you have specialized training, knowledge, and experience in a specialized field and must go through continueing education to keep certification, found none on him.

Completely horrible after finilly diagnosed with breast cancer he totally didn't give my wife the proper care any cancer patient deserves he gave her 5 to 8 years but shortly going into the second year he just stopped trying anything and as issues came up did nothing to solve anything kept telling us all was fine but wasn't it was moving into her brain and we kept asking for he to do something and when he filling did do the right scans he kept those results from us for almost two months so we went somewhere else but by then it was to late and my wife is now dead at just 39 years no old and after 24 years with her and three kids this has just been unbearable and only after her death did he release those results to us through email and never not even a sorry for your lost or anything

Misdiagnosed my breast cancer as Invasive Ductal and not Inflammatory Breast Cancer. My female surgeon diagnosed Inflammatory because she gives me visual exam every time I go. Dr Shambaugh would only if you asked him to do a visual exam. Mannerly and kind though.
