I would encourage him to practice flexibility and patient-centered care, especially with complex cases like mine, and to always listen to a patient’s concerns with the assumption that they might be asking for something important, not just based on symptoms but also their lived experiences.I'd also remind him that it’s essential to offer options. For instance, he could have provided me with more insight into why certain tests are not routinely done and then explained why, in my case, doing them could be beneficial or not — and ultimately respected my right to ask for those tests.Will be securing a new PCP with thorough, empathetic, proactive, patient-centered care.
