I found this Doctor to be harsh, unattentive, and unempathetic. She didn't seem interested in my situation really she appeared rather like I was an inconvenience. She was 45 minutes late for my appointment, rushed through the exam, and then told me I had to get these very expensive tests before she could help me. I could have dealt with all that had she not smelled like an ashtray!!! Stinky disgusting cigarette smell no thanks.

I was treated very well when I first met the doctor. My brain tumor is being monitored, and I was to see her in October. Her phone is never answered, but I expected a call back. A week went by. I called again. Another week went by and my husband called. After yet another week, he got a call, saying that they had to move out of St. Luke’s hospital, and they didn’t know where they were going. Two more weeks, and their recording said that they had a fax machine, but no phone. I finally got an appointment, so I went to Phoenix for my MRI. A couple of days before my appointment, I got a call, saying that the doctor is ill. Since it is still not known if or when she may return, I am going back to the state where I used to live, and see that doctor. I can’t get a referral for someone else since she is gone. A letter should have been sent to patients so that they don’t have to wait for months, having no knowledge of what is happening. I wish her the best, but I’m angry. It’s almost March.

I find Dr. Johnstone a very capable and caring professional. She took an interest in my problem on the first visit, had numerous test done, diagnosed my condition and has continued with follow up appointments. I have all the confidence in Dr. Johnstone I need in a medical professional. The only issue I have is the wait time in the waiting room, which can be a while, but her expertise is worth it!

I have seen Dr. Johnstone a few times over the last several years. I never had a great feeling after any of my visits however she is one of only a few Neuro eye specialist in the valley. My visit today was the straw that broke the camels back. She was RUDE! I waited a half hour (which is good for Dr. Johnstone, normally much longer) and after 15 minutes into our visit, she abruptly dismissed me by saying "I dont want to talk about this anymore" and walked out of the office.

My experience with Dr. Johnstone was a pleasant event, stemming from a sudden stroke with vision loss. She was very professional, set up the testing I would need and assisted me in getting appointments with other needed specialists. I found her to be the very person and Doctor that I needed in a time of need.

Dr Johnstone was seemingly nice and helpful the first visit, but upon follow-up visits she appeared very irritable and like she no longer likes what she does. She was very unhelpful, just like her office help, and didn't return phone calls. She aborted her Hippocratic oath.... she should do us all a favor and retire from medicine. I ended up going to a general neurologist who diagnosed me on the fist visit, something Dr Johnstone failed to do after several visits!
