Does not listen well, and does not follow through
Claims to be a specialist in my illness yet wants to do a test that could literally off me. 1st appt was great, felt like he listened, 2nd appt he was angry with me for taking too much of his time. Kept telling me that he is overworked and overwhelmed, but is still accepting new patients. Tried 1 pharmacy to get a med I needed, & when they wouldn’t fill it, he told me it was too hard to find &to forget it. When I pushed back, he told me to find it myself, &gave me the script to find myself. Company offered me significantly discounted meds but he did not fill out the paperwork for me to be able to get it. I got frustrated so I kept canceling my appointments when I finally went in because he said he wouldn’t prescribe until I did I told him I was frustrated& he got angry with me& said, are you saying I don’t help you?! When I told him, I really needed him to fill out that paperwork so I could get the discounted med he finally did & I got meds fast. I lost 2 yrs of life over his laziness

Unfortunately, he is another physician who claims to be an immunologist in Albuquerque, but cannot recognize the clinical signs of a serious immune condition that leads to cancer. I saw him as a last resort and begged him to look at two physical signs of vasculitis and to consider referring me to another specialist. Instead, he recommended seeing a psychiatrist in order to force me into "taking medicine," which further prevents me from getting the care I need. Meds in my case can kill, not heal.

If you want to be prescribed shots or medications, then by all means find an allergist. But I would never recommend this specialist or any other who doesn't understand that asthma can be triggered by the alcohol gel that is ubiquitous in these offices or the scented chlorine used to sanitize equipment. It took more than an hour to see him, and after 15 minutes he berated me for taking too much of his time when "I have other patients to see."
