Dr. Shanta Shepherd, MD

I first saw Dr Shepherd in April 2024. I do feel Dr Shepherd is a great doctor, however many issues arose with my latest issue and I did not feel heard or validated and she forgot to send a prescription so I suffered for almost 2 weeks and had to resort to an emergency room visit to get help. Her office was dismissive and explained nothing. I won’t be returning.

Dr Shepherd is very thorough and knowledgeable. Best of all she listens and HEARS you. Being heard is so important for patients and I’m grateful I was referred to her. I feel very confident knowing she’s looking out for me.

Dr. Shepherd is great. So easy to talk to and has a wealth of knowledge. I feel I have found the right doctor for my problem. The staff in her office is great as well, fitting me into a schedule I can deal with. Five stars all the way.

Dr. Shepherd has a great bedside manner. She reviewed treatment options and was very patient-focused. Excellent provider.

Dr. Sheperd did surgery on me after Dr. Steinberg inserted a bladder mesh I was allergic to and made me feel like I was a psych patient. Not knowing I had a hernia in my groin. She listened to me, Dr. Sheperd was extremely respectful and her residents were constantly checking on me. I was really ready to leave the hospital although the nurses wanted me to stay another night but my PTSD from 2019 kicked in and she gave the okay to go home with my husband. So far my recovery has been sore but she did a great job. It’s amazing to me she was able to make a sling out of my stomach muscle. Thank you so much for treating me like a human being and not another number, in healthcare we forget sometimes that people could be your family members too and you would want them to have good quality care.
