Awful experience. We wanted to avoid telling our daughter who is a minor about her condition until she is mature enough to handle it. She had been through 2 surgeries already and is anxiety prone. All we requested is that he not use the word cancer during the procedure of radio active iodine. He said he would consider but he needed to talk to the ‘team’. It took a week to meet with team to tell us they could not grant our request during the procedure. Shame on you I can’t believe he works with pediatrics. We are now going to children’s hospital where they know how to work with parents and children
