Great Doctor.
Dr. Kalyan is great. She helped resolve my infection and cared about me as a patient. Her office manager Michelle is fantastic getting me in and seen quickly.

I wouldn't recommend her to anyone
I have been waiting for about 3 or 4 years to say all of this. Dr. Kalyan started out seeming like she cared but in the end she didn't care at all. In my medical records it specially states that I have Munchausens Syndrome meaning that I cause this myself and can apparently cause mrsa cultures to be positive!! I guess that I'm a miracle worker. My medical records, which I received very very few of, had nothing good to say about me. They made me look like I have psychological problems and she specifically stated that I caused the mrsa. She sat on the edge of my hospital bed and told me that I was causing this. Funny though, years later after finding a new infectious disease doctor I very rarely have mrsa now. After having it a couple of times a month I now have it once a year. One good thing did come out of this though. I learned not to allow a doctor to make me doubt myself. I now have wonderful doctors who listen to me and treat me with respect. I truly hope that she changes her ways.

Dr. Kalyan is excellent! Her immense knowledge coupled with her caring nature was a welcomed relief! Her assistant, Michelle, goes above and beyond helping facilitate appts, tests, referrals etc. We HIGHLY recommend this Dr and practice any more!

She doesn't communicate with patients very well. I felt like I never knew what was happening, and if I asked her questions I got very simple answers. She also wasn't very thorough in checking over my family member (who she was treating in the hospital). They was no response to medications she was prescrbing and she was unwilling to change course of treatment. (I had other doctors on the team telling me to ask for 2nd opinion or transfer because of this) She missed a large area of infection, and the patient spiked at fever over 104°f. Once I brought this to the attention of hospital staff & Dr. Kalyan she attempted to discharge like nothing changed. We asked for a new doctor because of this lack of treatment. My family member was admitted for many weeks longer afterwards and only began to improve after new ID doctor was brought on board.
