Lacks compassion
We have participated in many areas at Aris. The therapists overall have been supportive and helpful along with med management. Dr Kennedy is the owner and only Dr at the clinic (besides her husband). My kiddos program in the IOP went much longer than it should. Behaviors regressed after 12 weeks. We wanted to discuss with Sr Kennedy, but she was unable to call us. She was more concerned about shaming our parenting to other staff (that got back to us) than talking directly to us. We started asking for clarification and Dr Kennedy got upset and we were informed that there were kids on the waiting list. We were supposed to slowly transition back to school, but due to a planned break Dr Kennedy decided as a “team” (her being the only one that mattered due to owning the company) to terminate services. It did not feel like best practice and also felt motivated by money not by clients best interest. Reflecting back, I don’t think k having the dr own the company is best practice.

Dr. Kennedy has been seeing my adult children for the past 18 years. She is kind, compassionate and great at her job. We have followed her from one location to another. I would highly recommend her!!! Our family was so lucky to find her, she has helped my kids through some tough situations.

I was a patient in her outpatient intensive program awhile back. The program did more harm than good for me. Dr. Kennedy spent maybe 5 minutes or less with me and other patients before diagnosing or prescribing new medications. No diagnostic questionnaires were done, and after discharge from the program I was finally given a paper that had my diagnosis, which was later disproved by a psychiatrist at the U of M. Also once, I had to stand during my visit because her dog was asleep on her couch.
