Dr. Meheshwari is the rudest doctor I have ever met. He is condescending and unprofessional. He is rude, doesn't listen, only lectures and put me down. Not an ounce of care or compassion in this man. Why he became a doctor, other than for the money, is beyond me. He seems angry and unhappy and took that out on me. Read his reviews. I am not the only patient he disrespected. Avoid: Unprofessional
I was referred to Dr. Maheshwari by my GP for some GI issues i've been having for a while. Nurse was wonderful, she listened and cared for everything I said. Dr. came in the whole appointment changed. He did not care to listen to a single question or concern I had for myself but rather directed me to get on a diet (I am a healthy, active, young adult). I told him that I'd been following a version of my partners prescribed diet to alleviate some of my symptoms (partner is diagnosed with GI disease) and that was my big mistake. The rest of my appointment was spent with the Dr. telling me my partner's doctors probably don't know what they're doing, and my partner should go to his office instead. My partner goes to a HIGHLY respected doctor. That felt unprofessional . He sent me to schedule a colonoscopy and sent me on my way with a handout telling me to take an OTC laxative. I was not constipated. Cancelled my colonoscopy when I realized I did NOT trust him doing a procedure on me.

Arrogant and cocky doctor
Dr. Maheshwari is an arrogant, cocky, mean, and selfish man. It's essentially his way or the highway. He doesn't care for his patients and doesn't let you (the patient) have a voice. If you ask questions, he makes you feel dumb. If you are looking for quality and compassionate care please look elsewhere.

Rude and condecending, do NOT reccomend
This guy basically asked why I was there after being referred from my GP, idk bro, maybe do your job, read and analyze, and figure out the reason my GP would send me to you. Told me my condition was not a big deal, even when there are 20 studies on it via NCBI that say otherwise and online support groups where people explain the various tests and treatments they are receiving. He lectured me on personal diet changes I made to try and be healthier and then lectured me on how coffee is good for you, ignoring that I said switching to tea raised my energy levels substantially, along with everything else i said. Either way he then ignored the main condition I was concerned about and went on to lecture me about bowel movements that was related to another condition. I was trying very hard to not have my eyes roll to the back of my head as he droned on in detail about very simple things, like he was talking to a child.I will most definitely be finding another GI, good riddance.

Good doctor with not good back office
I have had 3 procedures with Dr Maheshwari. This last one, a colonoscopy, I had major issues dealing with his billing area. They could not submit the right code to my insurance. Funny, I had no problem with my insurance on the surgery suite and staff there. Just beware on the billing.

Very arrogant and rude
He is very rude and has horrible bedside manners. Doesn’t ask questions just assumes he knows your situation and prescribes otc and other meds that appears to be a 1 size fits all for most patients. Rushes through and scolds you if you for asking questions and not agreeing with him. IMO he doesn’t care about the health of his patients, only the mighty dollar.

Appointment for appointment
Haven’t been in this office yet but I had a procedure and a brief conversation with Dr Maheshwari while in the hospital admitted through emergency room. Dr said I should set up an appointment with his office for repeated procedure in two months. Called the office and clerk said I have to set up initial appointment with the office in order to be able to set up an appointment for the procedure that Dr wanted to do on me. Sounds anecdotal, doesn’t it?

Very professional and kept me informed.
My GP in the Woodlands recommended Dr. Maheshwari for my 10 year colonoscopy and endoscopy. My previous GI Dr. had retired. At our first meeting we discussed my medical history with him offering some suggestions on some ways to eliminate omeprazole from my daily routine (I'm 73). Prolonged use can be a little hard on the kidney's and bones. I had no idea. We also talked about my upcoming procedure in detail. The procedure itself was a nice nap (which I needed anyway). Dr Maheshwari and his staff were prepared, on time, very kind and extremely professional. The debrief (what I can remember of it) was extensive and to the point. Everything was good. I was sent home with a type written statement of all the findings including several pages of color photos (suitable for framing) lol. I have nothing but positive things to say about the Dr. and his staff.

Nothing good to say about this doctor.
Both my wife and I were referred to Dr Maheshwari and we both agree that he is one of the worst doctors we have ever had. He doesn't listen, he fails to discuss treatment options, he is dismissive of questions and concerns, and he failed to properly perform a procedure, resulting in my wife having to have it repeated by another doctor. On top of that, he was the first doctor to give a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and instead of speaking to us personally, he had a secretary from his office call and give us the news. We also found his staff to generally disinterested and borderline rude. Needless to say, we are looking for a new gastroenterologist.

Staff is horrible for follow up
Dr Maheshwari did my colonoscopy and endoscopy April 2022. He was very good for the procedure and eased my anxiety for the procedure but his office is terrible for follow up. I left several messages after the procedure to get additional information since the office said they were trying to reach me. Once I finally reached them, I was told they needed some additional bloodwork which I have done over a week ago. I have left two additional calls to the office l looking for results of my bloodwork, I set up my own login to the lab directly for results to send to a family member that is a physician. I have STILL NOT received a phone call with the results of my additional bloodwork from his office staff. The staff can definitely ruin it for the doctor!

He’s horrible! I was hospitalized twice under his care for ulcerative colitis. He did nothing except try and change my diet. My kidneys were damaged due to the effects of this disease. He’s very hard to deal with on a bedside manner and does not listen to his patients at all.

During my late afternoon visit at Dr Maheshwaris clinic, I felt as if I was delaying them from leaving early. The Dr rushed through the visit and didn’t seem too concerned about diagnostics. I expressed my concern about higher risk for esophageal cancer and taking reflux medication long term. Despite communicating my concerns, the Dr blew through the consultation and sent me off with a prescription for my usual meds. When I tried to reiterate my concerns and ask for a better work up and explanation, he dismissed quickly me. I then expressed my concern to the front desk staff, but they were just as apathetic.

Office staff very nice. Physician however, was very dismissive. Handed me a diet sheet and an exercise sheet. Did not ask one question about my current diet or exercise regimen. I think he assumed I was old and sit around all day, which is not the case at all. Very disappointed.

Did not have a choice of GI doc's since I was admitted to the Hospital after emergency abdominal problems. Was told I needed a Upper GI and had the procedure done by Maheshwari. Terrible bed side manner and he pretty much told me I was a liar after questioning his so called consult with me. It never took place and my family also did not have any contact with him at all. He said he spoke with me...but did not! Would not trust him as far as I could throw him. Has a "better than thou" attitude , and thinks he is a know it all! I would give him a "0" if I could.....

This has hands down been the worst experience I have ever had with a physicians office. Every interaction was difficult and required multiple follow up phone calls. No one in the office did what they told me they would do. Unable to trust their word on all matters. Always had to follow up on my own. Maheshwari didn’t even call himself to explain my diagnosis and biopsy results. Would never recommend him to anyone. Will be changing my care to another physician ASAP.

my first time - I can't say much about the doctor I really didn't see much of him. I think he was trying to help me but his nurse/staff member was not helpful at all. I didn't know the doctor requested two more test. Nurse never said somehow I found out by physically going up to office for answers. I called her to say I was coming she said she would be there all day she was not. I waited, the other staff keep looking at me like I was crazy. after awhile waiting the desk put in touch with another lady. She was the one who said is needed two more test. After my GI test I got very sick. I called the nurse I don't thing she even talked to doctor I lost 8#. I had a terrible experience especially with this nurse if you want to call her that.

Overall experience was great. I feel he is a very thorough doctor. I am being treated by him currently. He answers all of my questions and makes me understand my unique situation. If you have any problem getting call backs from the office ask for Billie. She has taken care of every single thing i have needed and she does so promptly. I am so happy with her. A very nice caring and compassionate person. Thank you Billie
