Horrible staff first off. Lazy beyond lazy doctor and staff. I overheard him yell and hit a wall because he was told something he didn't like. WHAT! Who does that? I want a confident doctor in all situations. Unprofessional. His MA is the worst. Does not communicate at all. His front staff swears in the presence of patients, eats her food at the front desk. Beyond gross. He pushes his options on you with the attitude of take or leave it. He says he is the best in the country for Radio-frequency ablation. I find that hard to believe. His office is drab and not inviting. The space is not inviting or welcoming. Most offices you wallk in make you feel at home. Not here, bare walls uncomfortable furniture you can't get out of. Please, please don't go here.

My otolaryngology surgeon raves about Dr. Ahmad from a medical perspective, said he’s one of the very best. I have been very happy with my visits to Dr. Ahmad, he treats me very well, answers all of my questions, and has a wonderful bedside manner. I highly recommend!

You are supposed to have your thyroid levels checked every 4-6 weeks during pregnancy if you are on Levothyroxine. Dr. Ahmad told me I didn’t need to have it checked anymore after my thyroid levels were at a good place during my first trimester. Since then 2 OB’s have said that’s not right, you have to have thyroid levels checked every 4-6 weeks during pregnancy. Considering that there are very scary outcomes if your levels are off, I think this is a very big deal.

I saw Dr. Ahmad for about a year and had NUMEROUS issues. Not just with him but with his office staff. It took 50 phone calls over a two week period for someone to answer my call and confirm a life changing diagnosis. After multiples procedures and new medication, dr ahmad would not listen to my concerns about side effects from those medication. Symptoms and side effects i had never experienced and felt damaging to my body he ignored saying that they were just because of my weight ignoring every single one of my concerns. I have on a few occasions just gone to the office because no one would answer the phone. Most recently I found out that my regular appointment was cancelled and I was not informed. Any time i leave his office or communicate with his staff I am left frustrated and confused. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional and rude health provider in my entire life. It is not worth the trouble, go see someone ANYONE else.

After seeing 3 endocrinologists in the past month, finally I met Dr. Ahmad. My friend referred me to visit his Salt Lake City office. The staff and the doctor himself was so humble and friendly. He helped me with my issue and now I feel perfectly fine with my thyroid issue. Dr. Ahmad has all trust with thyroid issues and I’d definitely recommend him.

? Wow, experience with Dr. Shahzad Ahmad was so satisfying! I visited his Salt Lake City office in the past week. The staff was super friendly, and doctor spent enough time with me. First, he listened to me carefully and then he explained my situation, diagnosed it, and answered all of my questions. He didn’t take my insurance but it was well worth paying out of pocket. I can’t thank him enough for treating my issue in the best way possible. Thank God, I am very happy to have this doctor now.

Negligent. Never had any education or explanation of my conditions whatsoever. He told me 100% I have Hashimoto’s and have me hormones without checking my levels. Turns out I have Grave’s and went severely hyperthyroid. His office never returned any calls. I had to walk in to get my labs and had to keep insisting I needed a test they forgot the last time too. They had to call me after I left to say I was right but needed to go to a difference lab. I could have done all of it at my lab instead of it being an all day thing all over town. I kept calling about another lab indicating if I could start my medication, but for over two weeks they said they had the results back but Dr. Ahmad still needs to look at them. You see, untreated hyperthyroidism can be dangerous. I was at the urgent care yesterday. I found a new doctor that tests before giving medications. I told his receptionist about being ill and she was very uninterested. Canceled my follow up and found a better doctor.

After seeing many endocrinologists in Utah; Dr. Shahzad, in Endocrinology Center of Utah located in Lehi was the exact consultant I was looking for! Very straightforward, accurate diagnosis and gave me knowledgeable information about my condition. Furthermore, he gave me clear cut instructions, and made me feel much better after leaving my appointment. I’ll be continuing with him and I would definitely recommend Dr. Shahzad to others.

Very thankful to have Dr. Shahzad Ahmad as my endocrinologist. He’s been very supportive and understanding of the challenges that I’ve been facing since the past 4 years with my type 2 diabetes. He’s passionate about his area of medical practice and I can clearly see that as he has helped me in bringing drastic changes in my health only through his passion & motivation to genuinely help his patients. Best thing is that he has shifted his office to LEHI which is not so far now from my home.

Last month I felt pain at the base of my neck, which was causing swallowing and breathing difficulties. I consulted it with my family doctor, who diagnosed me with fluid-filled lumps in my thyroid and referred me to Dr. Shahzad Ahmed at Endocrinology Center of Utah. I found Dr. Shahzad Ahmed very kind and expert in treatment. He suggested a fine needle aspiration biopsy. Now I feel quite comfortable and healthy with his treatment. My overall experience with Dr. Shahzad Ahmed was excellent.
