Dr. Shahnoz Rustamova, MD

Dr. Rustamova very well might have saved my life, so perhaps I'm biased. She found and diagnosed a problem I had a few years ago, and got me into the hospital where she also goes for surgery within 48 hours, and actually had the expertise & experience to handle it herself versus sending me to someone else as soon as I was diagnosed with something quite rare. Beyond that experience, my office visits have always been positive and she both listens, answers questions, and explains what's I need to know. She's blunt and direct, but cares deeply and goes far beyond what's expected for her patients and underprivileged people around the world.

She is a compassionate doctor. She is thorough and knowledgable and helps to make decisions on your care. I have had to return a few times when I was in discomfort and she is always helpful and knowledgable. She has worked with every insurance carrier I have had. I can see why other people may not care for her style in that she is to the point and doesn't sugar coat but it i that which I value so much about her. A reason I keep going back is she spend about 2 weeks a year treating those in poverty in other countries which is really fantastic. The wait time can range from 15 minutes to 60. She takes the time needed with each patient. This year she has helped to run genetic testing and worked with other doctors on some complex issues and as a primary care dr. I really could not recommend her enough.

I like Dr. R. But the way her practice is run is unacceptable. No one calls to give you test results, or update you on surgery, or anything. Staff says they will send info to another doctor and then doesn't. Dealing with her office is a full-time job. I already have a full-time job.
