Absolutely the worst EMG experience !
I’ve had 4 EMGs in the past and this was absolutely the worst experience I’ve had. The pain was unbearable! Usually, the doctor who does the needle portion of the exam sticks the needle in quickly and leaves it there while measuring the EMG. Dr. Hosseini sticks the needle into your muscle slowly while manipulating the needle in different directions and contracting your muscles at the same time. This maneuver caused excessive amount of pain. I would not recommend her to anyone. Her technique was horrible! She may have dual professional degrees MD PhD, but it certainly did not reflect on her skill. And, her bedside manner was nothing short of someone who doesn’t care. She had a flat affect all through the exam and did not seemed to care about my pain at all. I would avoid this doctor at all cost! There are better doctors who can perform this exam.
