Dr. Shahid Ali, MD

He is rude and has no compassion for his patients. I saw him a couple times hoping it was just an off day for him. He is so incredibly rude. I found a new doctor.

Dr. Ali has been on a long medical journey with me. I've seen many doctors and have had multiple procedures done. Through it all Dr. Ali has stood out among the rest. He has gone above and beyond even checking on me at the hospital after procedures. Its been over 6 years and I get to see him way less now. Still he is just as attentive and compassionate today as he was on day one and throughout all the difficult health issues I had. I highly recommend him.

It was so bad that I cancelled my surgery with Dr. Ali.

I was very displeased with my first appt. The VA outsourced me to Dr. Ali. I arrived 30 min early to complete paperwork. And to my surprise I was taken to a room at my scheduled time. But as the nurse left, she said he was running late next door doing a procedure. Well an hour later, with no one checking on me or giving me an update, as I was about getting up to complain, in comes Dr. Ali. He was very hurried, couldn’t even get ku name right. I said “if you’re in a hurry, I’ll gladly reschedule. He reassured me everything was fine. Then he proceeded to breeze through what was going to happen (I’ve never had either of the procedures he’s going to do, and was very anxious” after a 15 min talk he jumped up and said thanks and ushered me out to the secretary, Lucy. Not once did he go over the procedures or what they entailed, risks, recovery, NOTHING. Lucky for me, Lucy was Awsome!!! And although she has no medical training, she took the time to explain everything and put me at ease.

This was the first time I saw Dr. Ali. He was an hour late, but it’s okay he was in a procedure I was still optimistic he was going to help me. After he came into the room he asked me 3 questions before confidently saying I had IBS. I had to argue and struggle to tell him about my past medical history, he just wouldn’t listen! There’s no way he got a complete understanding of what I’ve been struggling with. The doctor only know what the patient tells him but he was refusing to listen! Not only that but he was extremely condescending. When I asked him what would be the diet for IBS he told me to look it up and to educate myself. He was a waste of time and money. Go to a different doctor.

He is the absolute best! Compassionate, thorough and diligent. Leaves no stone unturned, and always puts the best interest of the patient at heart. He will be my Gastro from this day forth.

I wanted to say great things after he came to my hospital room at nearly 10pm, thankful he made time for me. Each office appointment since then, he's been over two hours late (including EGD outpatient, including an early morning appointment), and wants to spend less than 5 minutes in the patient room. I literally had to tell him to "Pay Attention to what I'm saying, Focus!" because he was fixated on bloodwork I forgot to do, and refused to discuss the test results I'd already completed. "There is nothing wrong with me", he says, yet I'm still sick 2-4 times a week. "stay away from the fried foods" - I haven't eaten fried foods in years.

Very good doctor!. He spends time , answer all my queries , listen to me , pays attention to my medical complaints ; his staff is very caring . I always return very satisfied from my visit to his office .

Very kind doctor. Spent time. Listen to complaints and answer all questions. He draws pictures, explains things in very simple and layman terms. His staff is very attentive to my needs. He is my Gastroenterologist forever.

I have been seeing Dr. Ali for my Hep C treatment I received from him has cured me of my Hep C . I only had a few headaches no other side effects today I feel great . His staff is awesome
