EPOEM procedure complete success
My journey with Achalasia began 7 months ago with trouble swallowing. After being diagnosed with Barium Swallow X-ray I began the steps needed for surgery called Esphogeal Preoral Endoscopic Myotomy or EPOEM. This procedure was performed by Dr. Shaheen Rasheed, who is the premiere surgeon in my city of Chico California. Through researching, I found out that he was already listed as my doctor in Enloe Digestive Disease Clinic where I was referred. The procedure was a success and I am on my way to complete healing with no side effects of GERD which can be the result of this procedure. Prayer support has been a huge part of keeping my psychological health as I go through this challenging time of facing this very rare problem with my deterioration of peristalsis of my esophagus and the lower esophageal sphincter not functioning correctly

Not only is this doctor disrespectful, unprofessional, and rude ...I did not feel safe with him as a woman. The way that he talked down to me and treated me left me feeling unsafe. Terrible doctor.

I thought Dr Rasheed was a decent doctor, even though I was told otherwise by two people. Dr Rasheed let me suffer for years before a simple antibiotic would have solved most all my of my health problems. It wasn’t until I saw his PA, Amy Shippee that she was able to diagnose my symptoms and prescribe the needed GI antibiotic. Dr Rasheed should be ashamed of himself, as he has proven to me that I’m nothing more than a revenue stream.

This man has the bedside manner more appropriate two centuries ago. The personality of a snail. Avoid him.
