Unsatisfactory Experience
I came in because I'd had a horrible long lasting head and chest cold with persisting symptoms. In filling out the paperwork I indicated my concern that I still had a cough and congested ears, which I also related to his assistant. He greeted me by saying I had put down the 'wrong' thing about why I had come. I repeated both of my concerns and he then said I must 'choose one.' I chose the ears but he did not really attend to my description of the history. He discovered I had significant earwax, expertly removed it, announced that he'd solved my problem, and sent me on my way. But the ear symptoms were not remediated. I subsequently arranged to see a different practitioner in a different practice who patiently listened to my history, did a thorough exam, observed that my eustachian tubes are inflamed, prescribed therapy, and scheduled a follow-up phone call to see if the symptoms will improve.

SUPER 10 STAR DOC
My primary care physician suggested I see an ENT doctor for a possible ear problem & a friend suggested Dr. Oringher at The Feldman ENT Group. Even though he is the senior doctor in the group. making an appointment was easy & staff I spoke to could not have been more accommodating. At the office, the staff were helpful as was his Medical Assistant. I was able to give her some corrections to my online pre-registration info & later received an email confirming that the revisions had been made. Dr. Oringher was friendly & knowledgeable. He examined my ears and nose and did not rush through the appointment. He assured me that there was not an ear problem, explained why he thought my PCP had suggested I see someone and gave me some ideas for dealing with my stuffy nose. Also answered a sleep apnea question. I left the office feeling that I had seen the best ENT doctor & he had provided the best medical care.

I have seen Dr Oringher for hearing, tinnitus and hoarseness issues. He is always thoughtful, patient and interested. He takes his time in explaining things and always asks whether I have any more questions. Never in a rush.

I am a current patient of Dr. Oringer. He is kind, takes the time to listen and is very thorough each and every time I've been to see him. His office and clinical staff are also wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Oringer.

Dr. Oringher was prompt, avoided the "white coat" syndrome by wearing black. I was taken promptly: No wait time. He made several good suggestions, but I doubt one of the things he said, and am having it checked by another ENT. Overall, I was very pleased with him, his recommendations and the front office couldn't have been better...a welcome change in our area. Not inexpensive.

Excellent doctor. He's so good, and highly regarded in the medical profession that there's always a wait to get in. No nonsense, expert in his field. If you can wait for an open slot, he's the one to see.

I found Dr. Oringher to be dismissive and jump to a diagnosis that later proved incorrect. He also implied that my symptoms are psychosomatic. He is sadly behind in his knowledge of the intersection of Covid-19 and the vaccines with hearing and ear problems. Just ok.

Just ok, rushed and behind the times – Apr 15, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Oringher?
I have seen Dr. Seth Oringher on many occasions over the past 20 years. He was referred by my allergist as the best doctor in the area to perform sinus surgery. I had outpatient surgery in 2000 and Dr. Oringher cured my problem. He is pleasant, honest, and knowledgable. I still see him for any ENT needs. It used to be hard to get an appointment over the phone but it is much easier now. You can get an appointment online but I always just call.

It was one of the worst experiences ever seeing a doctor. He just will not listen to you, will give a generic reply and a bogus one size fits all diagnosis. He’ll be in his own world through the appointment, in and out in 10 min max. Do yourself a favor, Look for a more caring and knowledgeable ENT Dr before seeing him.

After a second massive nose hemorrhage within three months, called Dr. Oringher three times during work hours. First answer was that he was busy with a patient, second time he was having lunch and third time he was in surgery. A technician returned the third call to say the doctor was not really a sinus specialist (although he had treated the first hemorrhage three months before and did not notice that I had a large tumor) and I should see another doctor in the group.

Won't treat vertigo or dizziness, suggested sinus surgery far too quickly without waiting for us to test out other less invasive means first, only gives the bare minimum of time to patients for the appts (a fast couple of mins is all you get) and extremely rigid office policies on even slight lateness. Bedside manner very stiff, not terribly friendly. Didn't solve any of my long-term ENT problems. I'm not impressed, and will be moving on.

If you like to be warehoused through a 10 minute appointment block with no definitive diagnosis, be referred imaging, and then get a call from a support staff from the practice later telling you to go back to your referring physician, with no explanation, then this is the place for you. Copies of your medical assessment summary are available to you for an additional fee.

UNETHICAL, HEARTLESS. Was my doc til yesterday when I took my 89-year-old mother in for a vicious cough. She's also functionally blind and just got Lyme disease. Were 10 mins. late for 1:40 pm appt. bc of roadworks. I apologized; receptionist said other patients were late too but that he would not be able to see my mom. I gently told her mom's age, health issues & that is extremely hard on her to make the trip. They flat out refused even to see other practice docs. Only 2 other patients there.
