Dr. Toomey and his staff are very positive and reassuring. They took adequate steps to my post surgery healing and answered all my questions.

Visit ran on time and moved along at a good pace. I was attending my one year evaluation for Dr Toomey’s total replacement of my right knee and a cortisone treatment for left knee ( which I will have Dr Toomey replace in the future) Dr Toomey is the best and I trust him implicitly! The knee replacement and his help seeing me through any of my concerns was so reassuring. He changed my life and I am eternally grateful.

I am very pleased with the outcome of my right knee replacement one year ago with Dr. Toomey. He is an excellent surgeon who optimistically agreed to take on my more difficult surgery situation (due to patellar anatomy and repetitive dislocation damage) with better than expected results. The post-surgery follow-up care has been wonderful.

Unfortunately, it is time for my 2nd knee replacement, and there is no one I would let do it other than Dr. Toomey. He is simply the best there is - I probably know a half dozen women in our area who traveled the 60 miles to have Dr. Toomey fix their hips and knees. In fact, one woman had him FIX a hip that a local doctor had screwed up. He is indeed one of 'Seattle's Best Docs' as stated in the newspaper. He did my first replacement and I could not believe how much better my replacement was than some of the people I know who had someone else do their replacements. Don't settle for someone you know nothing about - get recommendations from friends and neighbors, Google them looking for problems they've had - then choose Dr. Toomey and you will never regret it. HOWEVER, you also need to follow his directions and go to PT for 6 weeks, which is very, very important to heal correctly! À Votre Santé

Dr Toomey handled 2 hip replacements and just recently did a knee replacement. Everything went very well and my recovery was smooth. My physical therapist and I agree that having a good surgeon is key to a successful and quick recovery. I’ve recommended Dr Toomey to many people as he is the best!

Running late but worth the wait. Extremely knowledgeable and explained things. Very matter of fact.

Met with Dr Toomey for the first time and will be scheduling my total hip replacement with him. Great office, friendly staff, and Dr. Toomey explained everything, made me feel seen and had a great bedside manner.

I first heard of Dr Toomey from my physical therapist. I asked her if she would recommend a doctor to do joint replacement and she replied that Dr. Toomey's patients always seem to recover the fastest. He has replaced two joints on me and will do another soon. (After my first replacement by another doctor that didn't go well, he was able to rectify most of that). He is always very personable and caring. Today he went an extra step when I told him my last injection wasn't as effective as usual. He took extra time to make sure that it was working well and walked me out to observe my gait. I have my full trust in him to do hopefully my last joint replacement.

Efficiency of the staff; direct eye contact with each staff member and in particular Dr Toomey. Very well laid out action plan outlining my role as well as the role of the staff. Each team member not only went over everything but asked if there were any questions (of which I had written ahead of time but they for the most part covered everything).The undivided attention I received during my pre-op visit left no stone unturned. Superb group!

Dr. Toomey found a vertical fracture at the top of my fibia that was diagnosed as severe knee strain by other professionals. I cannot imagine the damage that I would have done to myself without Dr. Toomey’s knowledge & recommended treatment.

I've been a health care provider for decades in critical care, and Toomey lied to me when I asked him about the heavy metals that leech from hip and other joint implants. He told me that only hip implants leach. Since I do my research before any potential surgery, I pulled out a copy of a study that proves that knee and other implants leach heavy metals into the body, as well. He became rude, belligerent, and quit talking to me. He would only address my spouse. I, in all my years working with doctors, as well as being a patient, have NEVER met a physician so rude, arrogant, and dismissive. I will NEVER use him for any surgery, including removing a splinter. I simply don't trust him.

His humor.

Everything went very well. I was just tired of arthritic knee pain. I saw Dr.Toomey to explain robotic surgery to me and made the decision that day to get this over with. Had a surgery date, but called to see if by chance I could move it up. They were very accommodating, moved it up by a month. 4 months later I had the second side done. Everything went perfectly. It’s a hard surgery, but very well worth it. I’m ready for golf in the spring and plan to learn pickleball too. I’m excited to be able to keep up with my friends walking when we go camping.
