Best orthopedic surgeon at Duke
Dr Ryan is an excellent highly skilled surgeon. He is very knowledgeable professional and kind. He has an outstanding bedside manner and really cares about his patients. As a retired nurse of 30 years I am very pleased with the successful outcome of my knee replacement surgery by Dr Ryan. As a patient at Duke Hospital in the pre op area several nursing and anesthesia staff remarked to me that Dr Ryan is the best orthopedic surgeon. I totally agree, he is the best. When I had concerns about a small area of my incision during recovery I sent a picture of it to him. He personally called me and reassured me that everything looked great. Not too many surgeons would take the time to do that during their busy OR schedule at the hospital. He really cares about his patients. Also the daily text’s for 7 weeks was very beneficial and provided recovery information about exercises, wound and pain info and emotional support. I will definitely recommend Dr. Ryan to my friends and everyone.

Dr. Ryan has a brilliant young mind coupled with outstanding surgical skills. He supports his outstanding career with continued research. Duke’s patients are fortunate that Dr. Ryan chose to share his expertise with us. Glad that one more of the best and brightest was available to correct prior surgical errors.
