Missed: West Nile Virus Encephilitis
My husband was admitted to the ER at Swedish on August 12th with a “Fever Of Unknown Origin”. Extremely weak, unable to eat, cognitive decline, and acutely fatigued. After being admitted to the floor, Dr. Pawlowski ran a multitude of blood tests and cultured his blood bacteria, and eventually ruled out a bacterial infection. He worked with the oncologist to rule out autoimmune disease or cancer. By August 16th, while my husband was still weak, still cognitively compromised, and unable to eat, Dr. Pawlowski and the hospitalists made the decision that it was appropriate to discharge my husband with no further diagnostic testing. Two days later I retuned my husband to the ER at Rose. ROSE DID A LUMBAR PUNCH AND DIAGNOSED HIM WITH WEST NILE VIRUS MENINGOENCEPHILITIS . 12 days later he remains in the ICU fighting for his life.

Dr. Pawlowski was able to diagnose my father's very rare, serious illness after he had seen more than 10 doctors, including 3 infectious disease doctors. We will forever appreciate his extensive knowledge, excellent bedside manner, and drive to figure out his illness to save his life. I would highly recommend Dr. Pawlowski.

I thank God for the day He sent Dr. Pawlowski my way. His knowledge, professionalism, caring and dedication saved my leg when surgeons wanted to amputate. He's a great doctor, and a great person. Five stars in every way.

It's a little difficult to get set up at the office but once you do the receptionist and MAs are great. Dr. Pawlowski is very knowledgable, kind and returns calls promptly. I would recommend to anyone who need an ID doc. The infusion center is severely lacking however in listening skills BUT they are completely separate from the doctors office so they are not included in the rating. If possible I will use another agency in the future for infusions but would stick with the Doctor.
