Beware of oral drug interactions
Saw Dr Scott for hair loss. He had my list of current medications, which included high blood pressure medication. He prescribed an additional blood pressure medication for treatment. When I pointed out I already took blood pressure medication he said it would be fine. It was not. It caused my blood pressure to be overmedicated and dropped to th 80s over 50s. Took over 3 months to get it back to normal by my regular dr by adjusting blood pressure dosages. So PLEASE review any oral medication a specialist prescribes with your primary doctor before taking.

Good cop Bad cop
I like Dr Zahner, he is kind and warm, but how we feel interacting with key office staff matters too. They will never own their mistakes or apologize for them, and they indirectly blame you. They treat you like a child. Bringing a problem to him doesn’t help because he is polar opposite, and what he assures you of is never the case & the cycle with his staff starts all over again. And who trains and oversees that staff? Him of course. Surely he is fully aware of what policies and practices on their part make his patients want to tear their hair out. I believe he plays good cop when confronted, but does nothing to correct what is causing us to want to look elsewhere. As a matter of fact, I believe it is a purposeful strategy on his part that he believes works to his advantage. I have grown tired of it and the time it has wasted, and I am now looking for someone new.

I had burning in my eyes, they were blood red, and had really bad dry eye..went to an opthalmolotist, and was treated for an ocular infection, even though i had asked him if I could possibly have blephartism (rosacea on the eyelid and eye)?..he said I did not. Went to Dr. Zahner on a hunch and when I walked into his office, he diagnosed my blephartism and gave me something that day that cleared it..I have not had a problem since.

Zahner does not take time in office visits to explain vital info to patients. By his careless prescription of meds & lack of proper instruction, my daughter has suffered extreme harm at his hands. She has missed school, spent time in ER, and has had many follow-up appointments to clean up what Zahner could have easily avoided by simply taking the time to give proper medical care. On top of this, her acne has only worsened in his care. I called to discuss these matters and he hung up on me.
