Dr. Scott Zager, MD

I am so grateful my Mother has Dr. Zager as her cardiologist. He is very concerned about his patients well being, extremely personable, orders all necessary tests to get to the bottom of health issues, and is thorough in his care of my Mom. We are grateful to have him as her Cardiologist.

Cabrillo Associates is the worst medical establishment in Ventura for cardiac care. Dr. Scott A. Zager and his staff canceled and rescheduled three consecutive necessary appointments! Each appointment with Dr. Zager, according to his rude staff, needs to be booked six months in advance, making a regular heart appointment pushed 1.5 years late. Do not request time off your work for an appointment with Dr. Zager, as he cancels last minute, even if you wait for two hours. What's worse is Zager wrote up notes, PLUS billed my insurance for these 'visits' that never happened. Wellcare insurance and SeaView (my IPA) have both filed grievances with the CA Medical Board. Do not waste insurance or your own money on doctors that could care less about their patients' health. I recommend that no person ever give this Dr. or medical practice a try!

Have had Dr. Zager as my cardiologist since 2001. I was recently forced to change health plans due to my employers offerings and had to leave Dr Zager. When I submitted my medical record to my new Cardiologist he said emphatically that Dr Zager saved my life after my heat attack some 18 years ago. Needless to say I am changing insurance plans so I can return to Dr Zager. He is the best!

Simply the best Cardiologist ever. I've been with him for over 15 years since my heart attack in 2001 and in a nut shell: Dr. Zager saved my life. He's intelligent, personable and a great doctor to have around. Only problem is, it's very difficult to get an appointment since he's so well liked. But the wait will be worth it.
