Dr Scott Thomas
Dr Thomas shows he cares about his patients. He carefully listens to them and makes the proper diagnoses to treat them. Dr Thomas took care of my 94 year old dad until he developed dementia and had to go to a nursing home.

Dr. Scott Thomas & Alamo Medical First-Contact Per
Each visit causes me to reflect on the same things:1)First contact personnel are prompt, friendly/personable and professional.2)Dr Thomas has obviously reviewed my chart, thereby being prepared to relate to me on a personal AND professional level. He is attentive (never dismissive) to my concern. They are all prompt in their assistance.

Excellent PCP
Dr. Thomas provides excellent, straight-forward care. He and his wife, also a PCP, share this office and both are superior physicians who care about each and every patient they see. They provide care for the "whole" person and are not limited by a computer-generated checklist.

Been going to Dr. Thomas for years. I like him personally and believe him to be an excellent doctor. However, I cannot recommend Alamo Family Practice as first option to new patients - if you have other options, explore those first. Several reasons why: They will not refill prescriptions at your annual physical - so they force you to have 3 office visits per year. At the 2 maintenance visits (where they renew presc.), you are not allowed to bring up any new issues. Have a new issue or problem? You'll have to make a separate appt. The clinic completely shuts down twice a year while they go on vacation. Need something during that time? No dice. And while they expect all this from patients, you better not inconvenience them - miss an appt., frequently reschedule, even for legit reasons, they will drop you as a patient very fast. So even though he is an excellent Doc, I would switch myself (and will eventually) if not for hassle and uncertainty of finding new doctor.

I have going to Dr. Scott Thomas for several years. I had not had major issues with his service (outside of his arrogant personality), however, recent events have caused me to terminate his services. Dr. Thomas prescribed to me Trazodone (a sleep aide) a few years ago. In May 2018, Dr. Thomas informed me that he would need to see me in his office to renew the prescription. He would not allow this to be taken care of during my annual physical in 2 months. I do not live close by - he did not care.

He is always listening, very open and caring to ensure I’ve always had my health needs met. He genuinely cares and even as my daughter sat with us his focus was on both of our health he wasn’t concerned solely with the reason I was there. I may have paid for a check up I need every 3 months but myself and my daughter walked out with an action plan for both of our health.

Terrible service. My wife was already upset how painful her test was. She had to go to another specialist to have the results reviewed. Guess what? The incompetent people at this office never sent her tests over. So she needs to take another day off of work, have another painful test (which she said they were much more gentle at the specialist), and will have to wait another two weeks before she gets important test results. Just a terrible office. FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!!

I've been a patient for several years. I continue to refer to Dr's. THOMAS. Most of my family are patients here also. Although we moved to Canyon Lake, I travel the hour to see my Dr. If you want a doctor who cares about his/her patients, this is where you belong.

I'm always able to get in to see Dr Scott at my appointment time or earlier. It's wonderful to have a doctor that manages his schedule so well and still takes time to listen. Most doctors schedule appointment so close together that they get behind and then patients have to wait which means you need to get there on time or early, so don't arrive late or you won't be seen. His staff is all very professional and friendly. He is very thorough and caring. He takes the time to explain everything
