Dr. Sporer is The Best!
I did my research ten years ago when I selected Dr. Sporer to do my double knee replacements. I have to say they were far easier, and more effective than the 5 arthroscopies I had done with various other surgeons previously. There was no question in my mind that Dr. Sporer was who I would call when an accident caused me to need one of those original replacements, replaced. It was a far more complex surgery, and I was ten years older, but Dr. Sporer and his team were calming, professional, and most of all, kind. I am almost back to normal now, and I owe a lot of that to Dr. Sporer. He is the best in my book.

Minimally invasive full knee replacement
The visit was very thorough & informative. Fully reviewed X-rays & the recommended plan of treatment. Was able to get me in within a reasonable time for surgery. The surgery went very smoothly! The messaging system that is used post surgery is beyond excellent & supportive. He & his office are very responsive to any request for contact & support. I would highly recommend Dr Sporer & his team!!! Thank you so much!!

Superb Choice for Knee Replacements
Dr. Sporer and his wonderful team provide superb treatment and care. He relaced my right knee in August and my left in February. Both surgeries went smoothly and I returned home by late afternoon. I feel the team is very proactive with necessary meds to control pain and inflammation. I also chose my PT through Midwest Orthopedics at Rush. I am absolutely thrilled with the results. Dr. Sporer has returned my quality of life! He’s quite a humble person and a gifted orthopedic surgeon. The daily texts of encouragement and recommended exercises were very helpful.

Knees replaced
Dr Sporer, Lauren and Binoli Mehta worked seamlessly to do the replacements of both my knees and to provide excellent physical therapy.Special shout out to Binoli Mehta for the hours of physical therapy I spent with her and the PT team!The daily texts received also provided validation in my recovery progress.The decision to go by with Dr Sporer and his team proved to be the correct one. Several people made the recommendation to me to use this this talented team!Thank you to all the team!

Amazing surgeon
Not only am I walking around without pain for the first time in 5 years, but Dr. Sporer took his time to explain the procedure and kept tabs on me during recovery and physical therapy. He gave me my life back within 6 weeks! Do not hesitate to make an appointment. He and his staff are amazing.

Knee replacement
When one has surgery, even with friends and family’s support, you can feel isolated from life’s flow. Dr. Sporer offered texts to guide one’s progress and I accepted receiving them. Oh my, did they help! They related to the place I was at in recovery. They included positive quips and encouragements. They reminded of things to do that were important. Unbelievable!
Dr Sporer has done both of my knees. I can’t say enough about him, his staff and the surgical center in Oswego. They wheeled me in at 7:15 and I was back in the car 5 hrs later. 6 days later I was on my stationary bike at home. I was able to bend at 120 degrees at 3 weeks. Thank you Dr Sporer. You’re the best!

A Complex Case
Dr Sporer is the ultimate professional and I cannot recommend him highly enough. I came to him with a history of two right knee replacements done by another provider. My R knee had developed a severe secondary infection following a complex MRSA spinal tract infection. Many providers would not touch it due to the nature of the infection. Dr Sporer spent a lot of time laying out the options and the risks of each option. I chose to proceed with a reconstructive surgery involving an implanted antibiotic spacer followed by a third joint replacement, as that seemed to be the best option for clearing the infection. I am fortunate to be walking, something I credit entirely to Dr Sporer. I consider him to be the “go to” surgeon for complex knee surgeries.

My experience in seeing Dr. Sporer was excellent from the first preoperative visit through my total knee replacement in January 2025 to my discharge this week. He was great as was every health professional and support worker that I came into contact with in my visits. I am now six weeks post op - feeling pretty good! I am a physical therapist with over 47 years of orthopedic experience. Considering my background, I was very fussy in my physician choice. I am very pleased with everything about the experience. I highly recommend Dr. Sporer and Midwest orthopedics. My husband, who is very critical about service, found everything about the experience I had as being superior and very professional. I worked with his PA, Katie, during a pre-op and post op visit and she was wonderful. The texts received over six weeks were helpful and often made me laugh. They were on target with just what I was feeling at the time they came in. Overall it has been an extremely positive experience.

Right knee replacement
My first visit to Midwest Orthopedics at Rush in Naperville, Il was on 01-08-2025,I had an appointment with Dr Sporer on 01-24-2025. I had surgery at Kendall Pointe Surgery Center, Oswego, Il on 02-11-2025. Everyone was very professional and caring. I felt very confident going into my surgery. I’m almost three weeks in recovery and very pleased with my results.

Dr Sporer team was efficient and caring.

Amazing, Caring Surgeon
Dr. Sporer replaced both of my knees. One 5 years ago and another 6 weeks ago. He explains the surgery and related procedures very well. He also answers questions. I am very pleased with my knee replacements. He is an exceptional surgeon and I highly recommend him. It is amazing to have two pain free, fully functioning knees. The text messages that arrived every day from Dr. Sporer for six weeks were informative and encouraging. Thank you Dr. Sporer and staff for excellent surgery and awesome follow-up care.

Excellent hip replacement!
Dr. Sporer and the whole team working on my hip replacement were absolutely top notch! It was not the ordeal I expected—and I experienced only moderate pain with just three days on narcotics. Right away, the bone felt better. Even the incision is small (3”), carefully glued, and looks better than expected. Highly recommend!!! Counting the days until #2. Thank you—very grateful for your expertise and professionalism!!!
